Hart on Fulham defeat

All blinkered views aside I think it is fair to say that Pompey were unlucky to lose against Fulham yesterday, our main failing not taking our chances - which might have been few and far between, but not taking them when presented nevertheless.

In my thinking maybe Paul Hart should have made a change sooner, in an attacking sense to have got someone alongside Freddy P, but there you go.

Listen to Hart's views on the Fulham defeat, Freddy P, spirit and attitude of the players and the takeover latest in this sky sports video below...

The goal was a bloody fluke, whatever way you look at it, and before and after we looked the most dangerous side but then again if you cannot score you cannot win, or even draw games, but we were unlucky.

We certainly need more movement in the attacking half as too many where wanting instead of moving. It was encouraging enough though for me to be honest, but as said Freddy P needs some help and if this is not a striker alongside him at least wingers that will get up to support him, as that is the whole point of them in a 4-5-1...

Sorry, a home game, which was winnable & we play 451. Fred worked his socks off but was let down by the lack of support. Utaka wants shooting & how the hell he played 85 mins is beyond me. 3 central midfielders, who all got booked didn't work. This wasn't even a good Fulham side & a game we really should have won. As for their goal, they made their own luck, we didn't!!!

I mostly agree with Matt; apparently Hart told the quay "we must have at least 15 chances" I heard about this and went into somewhat of a rant LoL at this point L my partner decided she would take me out to the gun wharf for a slap up meal. I have so little confidence in him to be able to change a game, and I don't see Woan as someone who is going to help him change that.

Perhapse we should start a home game chant something simple for what is plainly an uncomplicated fellah; understandable for a simple man- something you know like ....FOUR FOUR TWO, FOUR FOUR TWO !

Agree - can't take Hart seriously when he can't work out when to take a carthorse off the pitch

Don't know why successive managers persist in playing Utaka when he consistently doesn't bother. Does he run his socks off in training? Does he keep bringing the gaffer tea and biscuits?

I don't mind not playing 4-4-2, as that is a big risk, and we will get punished. However, I DO mind players not bothering to support the man upfront. From what i heard, Utaka... couldn't be bothered.
pompeycarpet
Carpet, would you be bothered if you knew the club wanted rid of you.
bluedr
But he's never been bothered. That's why we all want to get rid of him.
tracyc
I'm afraid Hart is going to be trotting out these cliches many many times, before he gets sacked. He's not the man for us and the sooner we all accept that the better.

to be fair... there were some tough chances but you need to take them. Piquionne's header was weak from a standing jump Two free kicks and all the time in the world for Kranky from 25 - he should at least have hit the target once Nugget - what a skier There were the chances and on another day it would have been 2-1... so let's not dwell. Anyone disagreeing with PH there is just sour we lost.
