More out/Nosworthy in/Storrie talks

On the day that David James and Sylvain Distin are both 'heavily touted' to be among the next to head out the gates, behind Dave Nugent who is 'set for Stoke', Pompey have at least been 'linked' with another player, not that it looks like we would get him! Peter Storrie has also been talking to The News.

So, lets take a look at what is going on in Pompey world...

==========

Pompey in for Nosworthy...

...Then again so are several others!

Sunderland defender Nyron Nosworthy is attracting the attentions of Pompey according to sky sports - problem is Stoke, Blackburn, West Ham and even Villa and Everton are also 'said' to be in for the player...

I would not think we have much chance here then?

==========

Storrie opens up to The News

Storrie has had plenty to say today, so far The News has published two interviews.

I will not summarise them, as to be honest I could not really summarise them, in which case I would basically be publishing the whole thing which I cannot do, so it is best for you to go and look at them yourself - if you have not already?

I would imagine this is being spoken about in the forum as well though...

Deal or no deal? It's out of my hands.

'The past nine months have been the toughest of my life'.

What I will say it is good to finally hear something more said - quite what this means is another matter. Is this 'finally' The News looking to come back on side?

==========

Nugent, Distin and James...

Nugent going is something that now seems 'inevitable', retaining Distin is something that seemed 'difficult' but looked like we might have managed this, although today it is 'said' the bin dippers are back in for him...

The most worrying 'reports' today are those, which have started to gather pace in 'media world', that James could be off with Sunderland a genuine option?

I dismissed this without a second thought this morning, but - and I do not know how true it is - I have been told that he and his girlfriend 'apparently' recently broke up? If that is the case then ties to his current location could be broken? Like I say I do not know how true that is, it might be totally wrong!

I think it is fair to say that it is going to be a tough season anyway, but with James in goal I would have more hope that his heroics could help save us - the most disturbing thing is that some 'suggestions' say that not only are we bringing Antti Niemi out of retirement, which we know, but after a year out of the game he would be thrust straight in as our no.1 to replace James!

Lets just hope that there is very, very little basis to these claims and Jamo sticks to his guns about not wanting to leave - then again not wanting to leave and having to leave are not always the same thing.

So, all in all there is not a great amount of positive news coming out today really is there! But you cannot hide your head in the sand and ignore things - even if it is nothing more than 'gossip', which I hope a large amount is...

Good to see Storrie speaking out, even if it didn't really give much new info, it is nice to hear.

Finally Storrie tells the fans something... Even though its to say he can't say much. It just feels so much better when he's being open and up front with us. I have a great respect for him and what he's been able to do these last 6 months, even he has to take some of the blame for the predicament... At least he hasn't up sticks and left like Jamie's Dad and Sasha is trying to do.

So why is Storrie talking to the News? Have they kissed and made up or is PS desperate for any friend he can find.

The club is in a coma. The life blood is leaving by the day. In will need a serious life by pass soon just to get it breathing again let alone for it to be up & running. We are in very desperate need of a Doctor!!!

at times I admit I've not been the biggest PS fan but I must take my hat off to him. it seems as though he's had stuff piled and piled on him and he has manages to pull through it in aid of the club. nice to hear some stuff coming out andd who knowss maybe after 'PS meets with SAF again' today we will have more info by the end of the week, that would be nice wouldn't it :o) PUP

I'm gutted - gone for a few days and come back to zero movement except Picquionne and a lot of talk about the continuation of asset stripping the club and no conclusion to club purchase... gutted... just guttted... PUP
