off topic i know but reports coming out of croatia are saying that kalinic has signed for blackburn, so it 'seems' we have definiately missed that one now?

Spending their Citeh money I suppose. Missed another one, we must sort ourselves out really soon!!

As for Guimaraes it will be interesting to see how well we do with our skeleton team.

When Al Fahim takes full control he better release some funds for players even if it's in jan. I'm sorry but £6 mil for a international striker nowadays is peanuts! If we can't finalise deals like this coz we're trying to buy him on the same finance deal as using a Argos card then we are gonna be in serious trouble!!!

Its the whole set up Chix - we were built up so much and so close to being seen as a "big" club and its been all shattered so much that we just cant take anymore! The Croatian set back today feels like the last straw. Mind you, playing a reserve team tonite doesnt help either!

Thanks for the welcome guys - been following you for ages but not posted before. Anyone seen the "Monitoring the activity of Sulaiman Al Fahim" web site (the site dedicated to criticising him) - bet he reads that and cringes every day! Anyway, I dont think that we should all get too depressed, difficult though it is not to as personally I cant believe that any business person would make an investment and then see it knowingly devalue - whats the point - he would be a laughing stock in his locality and from what I have read about him he wouldnt allow that. keep the faith!!

the penalty rule is this A penalty shoot-out will be held after both of Pompey's matches in the City of Guimaraes Trophy, regardless of the score after 90 minutes. If teams are tied at the top of the table at the end of the tournament, the side with the better record in the shoot-outs will be declared the winner.

they are talking about ritchie and his shooting, the minimal backlift when he does shot - this is something that ive noticed him do hell of alot, as alot of his goals for dagenham were exactly that. its amazing the power he can generate with minimal backlift. they called hiztelsperger that used to play for villa 'the hammer', maybe thats a fitting name for ritchie...
