Pompey bid for McCormack?

Pompey bid for McCormack?

The words 'sky sports news understands' have been uttered about a 'reported' Pompey interest in Cardiff striker Ross McCormack.

McCormack is 'said' to have expressed his desire to play in the premier league, with it 'said' that he has an agreement to let this happen if the offer is right, and now sky sports are 'claiming' that an offer has been made, 'Sky Sports News understands Portsmouth have bid for Cardiff City forward Ross McCormack.'

The 22-year-old Scottish international, who scored 23 goals last season, has previously been linked with Hull - the thing that I do not like at all is his agent, a certain Willie McKay...

Time will tell on this one, but what would the feeling be if there was any truth it these 'reports', would you be happy to see McCormick join Pompey?

Might be alright. I read somewhere that he doesn't want to play wing anymore which would kind of limit options if indeed Kalinic is coming aboard.

Wouldnt mind him and kalinic coming in.but i have to ask is he premier league standard ? he aint a bad little player he is young knows where the goal is and has a good free kick on him.But when i watched him at swindon (hometown) he was ***** he couldnt even get past our reserve team defender. infact he didnt have a sniff on goal

was that the pre-season game when cardiff fans 'booed' him? got tbh i do not know alot about him but looks ok from what i have seen - depends on how much he would cost, then again how would we pay for him...
28/07/2009 18:12:00
yes it was pompey rug they booed him troughout the game and was even calling him a w****r . Those cardiff fans are all trouble

5.5 m for Kalinic, 5 m for McCormack, but we sell Crouch for 9 m cause we need the cash for debts something does not add up unless we get Crouch's fee up front?
28/07/2009 19:27:00
I think the thing is yong, the old player's are Sasha's players, and the debts are sasha's debts, so the spurs money goes to him, and he pays his debts. However, new transfers are under the new regime, so belong to SAF, ot as i prefer ALF, but Lanky ptes wages 75g's a week will easily cover the wages of Kalinic 20g's a week and Macca..probably 15-10g's and still leave enough for amir Zakis wages...I have no information on this but suspect this is how it works.

Work Permit is the issue with Kalinic I reckon.. but no news is good news surely .. So he flew over yesterday, had a medical today .. wants a bit of time to think about it .. Patience people if were are right for him and him for us I'm sure he'll sign on the dotted line... Tell you one thing though .. We are REALLY building this guy up for big things .. I think we should ease up on the expectation for him
28/07/2009 20:43:00
Oh forgot to mention I think McCormack could be a good buy.. his goals record looks impressive and he could just be 'fed up' with Cardiff it does happen ..
28/07/2009 20:49:00
I really cannot comment about McCormick, but seems to me that it is not a bad idea to give him a try, only if he comes in at the right price. Kalininc is off. Work Permit problems. But things can be sorted if we really want the guy. Graham, you are right about Crouch's sale. Pompey owed Sascha around £30m, so with the sales of Glen and Crouch, they will add up to £26m. Almost there, so now he had his share and SAF will start his regime.

Another loan for Oxlade-Chamberlain

As I think we all know by now Oxlade-Chamberlain is the son of former Pompey winger Mark Chamberlain and the brother of Arsenal's & England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
