Ritchie on his way...

Ritchie on his way...

BBC Radio Nottingham is 'reporting' that Matty Ritchie is off to Notts County, who are said to be 'close to securing the signing of Portsmouth winger.'

I would assume, if true, this is nothing more than a loan move to the league two side for the highly rated winger?

At least I would hope so!

To be honest, as much as I would have liked to see Ritchie have a go this season he probably is not quite ready so all-in-all I can see the merits of loaning him out again for a few months - as could he, like he recently said.

That said at the moment with Nadir Belhadj excepted to be one of the next, if not the next player to go at this point in time Ritchie is one of a very, very limited number of players that could play on the left... More as we get it on these issues.

Pompey have also now confirmed, as 'reports' suggested on Monday, that another highly rated teenager Callum Reynolds has joined Luton on a 6-month loan deal.

well, 'reports' are saying that this is a permanent move for a 'six-figure' sum - this must be a very good six-figure sum for us to be selling tho, if we are?

Our club is falling down.We have a bright player who is on the brink of the first team and we sell him to a league 2 side clever thinking paul hart. i cant take it anymore he is tearing this club apart by selling all these players and letting us play with ******** hayden muggins and richard hughes .HART OUT !!!!

to be fair hart well and truely has his hands tied behind his back, whilst he 'might' approve certain sales i would very, very much doubt if he has much of a say in things when 'decent' money is offered - so im not sure its fair to blame him and call for his head on that score. lets see what the performances are like in the league, and what side we have, before we lynch him eh...

I'll tell you what to expect Rug, a kicking week in week out! F*@k me we almost got it week in week out last season! This season, we have one third the players, no money no hope and a bleak outlook. Every team without exception is looking to strengthen, and we have a sale to shame the last days of Woolworth's!!!!

But if he is not got enough for the premiership then let him go.. I really don't see the problem here.. The guy came through the Academy (and if sold) was not believed to be good enough for the first team and will therefore be sold.. The game is littered with players who never got the chance to prove it at the top level .. better we let him go and get some money for him than let him rot in the reserves without a sniff of first team action.. Have you forgotten Richard Duffy already ?

£100,000 Rug I read. Strange, as I always though that he is one for the future. And this was confirmed.

I am not convinced either way about this, in the kanu charity game he did well i believe but later on reports said he was knocked off the ball a lot. All i know is that Pompey Joe me and Richie from Newton Abbott were in a pub in Overton-staying over afetr the WBA semi, and a bloke who worked as a scout for Alaln Ball in his day and is still involveed in local footie told us we had a real prospect with a great left peg..that was Matt Richie..now we are probably going to sell the kid without him getting a game????
