Shut Up Bruce

After another game without a win, Steve Bruce once again pointed to West Ham, Middlesborough and Arsenal fielding weakened sides against Pompey.

The excuses are all in place now, no credit for the fact we actually took points off these teams, Yakubu, Henry and Sheringham are obviously all second rate to the moaning brummie boss.

You can only play what is put in front of you Steve!

Play up Pompey

It's true that we (Boro) did put out what could be called a weakened team - but what does he expect? Of course we are going to focus on the UEFA Cup and the FA Cup. And the game was still competitive, our keeper even went up for a corner in injury time! If you get enough points to be safe, you have earned the right to tinker with your selection, in my opinion.

I suggest that you go and read Bruce's comments. He said he fully understood why it happened and didn't blame any of the bosses involved. But of course, why let facts get in the way of a good story, eh?
Affers
fact is Facts.

Ex Man United players are trained to moan about decision's that don't go there way. They need to grow up or shut up.

" cant believe you let it slip against Charlton- at 1-0 you were cruising, what happened?"
millers4eva
he only said i can't blame them because he new everyone would say he was making excuses. And it isn't even my story!

How many sides this year in the Premiership met a weak Pompey side...I say most of them, and through a greater part of the season. The lost to Birmingham still hurts, and you need no reminder when looking at the goal differences.
pompeygray
Common pompey get back on the winning ways!!

ANy Manager needing an excuse as to Why they are goning down is a hypocryt. If their OWN teams had performed better for the previous 30 matches they played in, they would not be in the possition they are now, and would have nothing to moan about. So before they start blaming Boro, West ham, and Arsenal, they need to take a long hard look in their own backyard for the real reasons as to why they are where they are.
Terence
Any manager in the poo is gonna blame anyone/thing than themselves. Except Stuart Pearce maybe.
FEn_100
excuses incase they go down (sorry when they go down.) You watch (when) they go down he will point out the fixtures we had. How funy if liverpool rest players for the F.A cup final lolololol
lmatthews
It's not as if our manager has ever been down to the bare bones is it?
FEn_100

lmatthews

FEn_100

lmatthews

paultsmouth
He is ex Utd, he start every press conference moaning
nelson
Prefer that to mooning !! (open mouthed smiley emoticon thing)
FEn_100
Didnt we gift every Premieship team with an "under-par" team this season before Harry bought in New players...? I dont rememeber them moaning about the gifted games we gave them all, before we started to rise from the flames?
Terence
no true. Bruce didn't moan tonight
lmatthews
Someone rang up five live and reckoned that pompey haven't had the injury problems that brum have had. I'd beg to differ.
FEn_100
He'll be moaning about the injury situation before saturday. You wait and see.
FEn_100
Wouldn't it be good if wigan play both dezoooooooo and taylor. Both with broken limbs. I'm sure they will also put their mascot in goal. Why not? Every other team have done the same haven't they? lol
FEn_100
has he started blaming other teams for using the wrong type of grass?
