Well Done Villa!

Pompey fans today where cheering on Villa for a second time in a week. Villa came away 3-1 winners which also leaves Pompey three points clear of the relegation zone.

Milan Baros scored two and a Gary Cahill spectacular saw Villa all but safe. Pompey have a chance on Monday to go six points clear when we travel to Charlton.

A word of warning though to all you fans that are getting carried away, don’t! If we where to loose to Charlton and Birmingham beat Blackburn at home Pompey will be back in the relegation zone.

Birmingham then have to go to; Everton away (nothing to play for), Newcastle home (nothing to play for), Bolton away (probably nothing to play for?) They are all winner able games which could see Birmingham get to 38 points and that’s presuming they loose at least one, so it isn’t over yet.

The importance of this result is huge for a number of reasons; Birmingham have a goal difference only two better than Pompey, they must loose confidence with it being an arch rival and that is the end of their mini run.

Thanks to us Pompey are now on the verge of another great escape. No need to than us.

The claret and blue Easter bunny has been very good this year to Pompey. Just repay us by traveling to The Valley and picking up three points, a result that would leave our dear friends and neighbours across the city here, in a rather precarious position.

You should survive due to the fact Blues can't score. I can't see them rallying now after this demoralising defeat. Pompey are at least in the driving seat, you've now got the season in your hands. What is it with Harry Houdini?!?! I can't see Blues beating Blackburn and although you say that Newcastle/Bolton have nothing to play for, they will still play for pride plus each league placing higher they finish brings in more 'prize' money. You beat Charlton tomorrow, Blues will lose on Tuesday and all will be smiles on the South Coast!
The Fear
Good luck Pompy, always had a soft spot for 'arry, his teams try to play good football, it's just a shame that he never seams to get finacial backing. (But then neither do Villa in recent years)
Villain Of The North
Cheers Villa lets hope you have as bigger smile as us when brom and brum drop!

Get rid or dodgy Harry then I might feel more comfortable with mutual back slapping.

Are you kidding Villain? He's always had money. The manager at the start of the season (Alain Perrin) had £250 to spend on foreigners and free transfers. H.R. came back in January and spent almost £12.5M.
