Due diligence is done...

Due diligence is done...

...or is it?

I have to admit that I never even saw the article as I was at work, but The News - the online version anyway - was running and article this afternoon saying that due diligence was done, this was apparently soon pulled!

So, when you now click on it you are met with a blank page...

I guess we need to wait for the Pompey Site to tell us DD is done but it was my thinking, not long before that article actually, that I believed the due diligence was long since done with us now well into the 'fit and proper' business - and I maintain these thoughts, as I do a manager at least having been pencilled in, with it being them making decision not other figures at the club.

Assuming DD is done as long as Dr SAF can successfully pass the 'fit and proper' process, which could take up to 2-weeks - which, like I say I believe is already underway, his takeover is complete? Well, so it seems!

Technically, and again assuming DD really is done, this is a done deal! All that stands between us and an Arabian takeover is the premier league finding something that makes Dr SAF an 'unfit candidate', with it very much believed this cannot, and will not, be the case.

So, we are all but done now, aren't we...

I got a copy of the article here if anyone wants a read:- "Al Fahim's £60m Pompey takeover moved closer today after the completion of due diligence. The News can reveal the investigation into the Blues' finances are now at a close as the Arab property tycoon* inches nearer to becoming the club's new owner. "Al Fahim met with Peter Storrie in Paris earlier this week where a purchase agreement was signed by the 32-year-old. That means his move to succeed Sacha Gaydamak now moves into the hands of the Premier League. They can now begin their fit and proper person's test. Once that has been completed the move can then be finalised and Al Fahim unveiled."

This is what Quay said this morning, 7:00 am. News..... According to Quay: They were right to break story on Monday as the Due Dili was done then. Tuesday - the old and New owners met to sign contracts Wednesday - Storrie returned to submit Signed Papers and Fit and Proper papers. Friday (Today) - all expected to be passed. (BUt... Can officially take up to 2 weeks, so maybe that why everyone being told to wait?) 6pm Yesterday The News also broke this story, but it was pulled 1 hour Later. Looking much better. I work in Oxford, but still have a scummer as a boss, and all I have heard about this week is how they have a billionaire owner and we don't! Still keeping the faith. Can't wait for some good news on this.
