Brum moved, not for TV because of TV!

The Pompey Site has confirmed another fixture change for Pompey. The visit to Birmingham, our first away game of the season, will now take place on Wednesday 19th August - 24-hours later than scheduled.

This one is not changed so it can be shown on TV; this is changed because of TV!

With Birmingham playing Manyoo on the Sunday before, so that can be on the box, the game is moved from the Tuesday night to Wednesday night.

Just as well, form a personal point of view, that I did not shell out that £100 plus on trains to make the game - which I will, but making different plans! I was travelling direct from Cosham - where I will be for the opening game - to Milton Keynes to stay with my sister and go to the game with her on 'Tuesday' and return back to Plymouth on the 'Wednesday'...as that is the journey I had pencilled in as 'schedules for that would not change', but buckled at the price in the end - phew, would have been money wasted!

You just never can used to all the changes! You know they are coming but it still throws you. I won't be there, I hope to be on another sunny beach somewhere!

Playing to Lowe's strengths

Lowe looked good when he came on against Rochdale but his sending off resulted in a ban - this suspension didn't apply to the Checkatrade Trophy when he scored two against Fulham.
