Pompey going down! Yea right!

Pompey going down! Yea right!

'Pompey will be in a relegation battle this season and go down is my gut reaction', not my vote, yours - although these findings from Et_tu_Pompeii's poll are thoughts that I do totally disagree with and think most of us also would, this is not what we were feeling, this is what others are thinking...

Hmmm, is pretty much all I can say on this issue that I can publish to be honest!

Methinks that the majority of people voting on this poll have been supporters other than Pompey as no matter what happens I would never accept defeat as an option until that happened, and I know for a fact the vast, and I mean vast, majority of Pompey fans think the same.

Do not read too much into this guys, as this is without a doubt not a genuine reflection of the Pompey feeling, certainly not the true feeling on Vital Pompey!

  • What the poll asked - With the uncertainty of due diligence continuing, what is your gut reaction to next season's campaign?

  • How you voted - Relegation fight - but go down 60%, Top six 16%, Mid table obscurity 11%, Top half 6%, Bottom half 5%, Relegation fight - but stay up 2%, The club folds 0%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

Lot's of votes from 'alien' vital members then. Providing the take over goes through, we shouldn't need to worry.

Every passing day makes me more and more worried - the Scum are now in a 'better' position (probably more accurate to say more certain) than us regarding looking forward to next season. If we dont get a) Manager b) Players then we are seriously going to have a VERY difficult job of staying up.

Think positively. The new owner will be in place next week closely followed by a top manager and then six top-rate signings. Europa League here we come!

totally agree PFCblue we will be nowhere near relegation so do not even contemplate 'what' could be, as it will not be...

like i say tho this poll isnt a true reflection of pompey fans' feelings...

I think some neighbours have gone a bit nuts from all the Swiss rolls there were eating last night. I seriously don't think we will go down. Wish this takeover would move along quicker, but that is the problem with big money business transactions - they take time. When it goes through we'll have enough to finish somewhere in the middle of the pack. Just can't lose any more big players in the meantime - Crouch, Krancjar, Distin, etc.

Every fan wants their team to be upper on the table as possible. To be honest, and also realistic, your team don't have big chances for plainsman into the first half of the league. That it is my opinion

So we are going down said we are going down... Honestly think that despite the loss of Johnson (and maybe Crouch) we'll be ok next season.. a lot of mediocre teams punched about their weight last season (in terms of placings) expect Hull, Stoke, Birmingham, Burnley, Wolves and a few others to struggle - It might be tough if the takeover stalls but we'll be ok..

I think the longer that Dr SAF isn't running the show, the tougher it will be. I fear another Perrin era starting!!!

Swindon loanee gone but willing to return

I think Smith did pretty well for Pompey in the end but his loan from Swindon is now over. With a year-long extension triggered a fee would be involved if the Blues wanted him.
