Pompey's 2009/10 starting 11 - keeper

'David James is the keeper for Pompey in 2009/10', not my vote, yours - although these findings from the forum poll to determine who we think should be the keeper, for the 11 players we will select, are thoughts that I do totally agree with to be honest...

It was a no brainer really, as the poll shows!

  • What the poll asked - 2009/10 Pompey team - keeper?

  • How you voted - David James - 18 Votes [100%], Jamie Ashdown - 0 Votes [0%], Asmir Begovic - 0 Votes [0%], Liam O'Brien - 0 Votes [0%], Other (from our current squad - if so who?) - 0 Votes [0%], New player (do not list names, just vote!) - 0 Votes [0%]

This poll was conducted in a thread in the Portsmouth Posts forum - click here.

So, 4-4-2 is what we are going with and James in goal...

We now have to continue to fill in the blanks for our 2009/10 Pompey 11 - which we will select from the squad we currently have, well what is left of it!

Again we will do this in the Portsmouth Posts forum with the latest poll question we want answering, which asks:

2009/10 Pompey team - left back? - click here to vote.

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last forum poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

so far we've had some easy ones. I don't think there was any doubt 4-4-2 would win, or jamo. lefty back though could be more tricky...

Yeah, same view as Carps, but I'm already twitching on a choice for the left back position cos the two players who are going to be the main contenders are totally different styles.

The keeper place was certainly a 'given', left back seems fairly clear cut to me as well.

I don't think any other player (now Glen has gone) will receive 100% of votes .. says a lot of our thoughts for Jamo .. Pompey's and Engalnds No1 ... Agree that left back is gonna be hard though..
    Chix
totally agree chixy, if we come across another player in this selection process that gets 75% or more - unless this is voting for a 'new signing' somewhere i would be surprised...

"lefty"... no idea what I was thinking when I typed that one... I reckon crouch could recieve a lot of the votes for his position, as could distin. Although Rug won't for for sylvain... he wants him to go!
