Davis on being 'mucked about' by Pompey

Sean Davis has accused Pompey of 'mucking him about' so that is why he is no longer a Pompey player - he says that his 'not appreciated thoughts' are aimed at those 'upstairs' and not at all at the fans. Despite this he says there is 'no bitterness' at his exit and he is happy to have signed for Bolton.

He says there were things that both sides couldn't agree on, so how is that the club mucking him about? Sounds like he was probably after more money.

A special mention for 'Kev the kitman' too.. I think probably Moley is right .. He was offered a contract in February and again in April.. He was angling for a longer term or more money I reckon. A good squad player lost but that's about it.

I've always said he was headless and once again he proves it. Spent most of his time collecting yellow cards, putting the ball over the bar and wondering qwhy he wasn't an automatic first choice cos he had two reasonable games in a row. The quality average has just gone up; lol ... now we just need rid of muggins and a top ten could be on

You muck out **** & we have. Not interested in what he has to say! He dying at Spurs reserves, we resurrected his career & paid him well. Yes he did his bit when it mattered to keep us up. Rarely got a game when when we had top quality players to pick!

Don't be too hard on the guy. Ok, it would have been better if he'd kept his mouth shut, but he hasn't actually come out and really slagged the club off. Granted he wasn't the most gifted of players, especially when compared with the likes of Diarrra, but he did give of his best when we needed him, and need him we did at times. He was full of praise for us the fans and the atmosphere at Fratton, and that will do for me.

I think it fair to say he gave 100% when given his chance, but wish he would just go and shut up. We wouldn't have offered him a three year deal if we didn't want him. Good luck to the fella, but you do your bit for Bolton and we'll get a bit of class back in the squad. And get rid of Mullins as well.

If he doesn't want to play for us we're better off without him. We've lived through the loss of classier players, we'll live without Sean.

In all fairness to him he probably has been mucked about and i can understand why he wanted to leave. I will always respect Davis, he was outstanding at the end of last season. None of us really know what contract he was offered, most prob just a one yr deal as we dont have a manager..

I don't think we know how he was treated. If he was really not contacted as his contract expired then he has a right to be annoyed. If my boss blanked me around the annual pay review I would be miffed. At least he has backed down from the stance he initially took & has thanked the fans. I think he did a reasonable job - does what it says on his tin - graft with limited skill. Bolton is a suitable move for him I think.

I agree tim, he put a pretty good shift in last season with a lot of effort when we needed it. However, he is a bit of a Clot when it comes to opening his mouth. Couple of months ago in an interview he said he was committed to Pompey and thought that the sqad was a good one, and that next season we would be pushing for Europe again. Now he says no one talked to him about staying. Got an agent hasn't he!! God bless him and let him wallow in mediocrity at Bolton. I don't think any of us quite know whats going to happen after the 11th July but I bet it will be more interesting at Pompey than being at the Reebok

its so typical, another player I would have cheered when he comes back to fratton Park, but just couldn't keep his mouth shut, and leaves, if only a little, sour taste in my mouth!
