Rivals closes down

Sadly, and I genuinely mean this, the founder member of fans sites Rivals has closed down - in many ways I think this proves that 'throwing cash' at something does not always work, and this is what sky did with the network, which they have now decided to close this down...

I hate to seem like I am 'picking off the carcass', but if anyone from Pompey Rivals wants to join us here, you are more than welcome - we might even be able to host the Pompey Rivals forum?

Drop me a line if you are interested.

Either way, if you are a fan who is now looking for a new home look no further than Vital Pompey and the Vital Football Network for that home - go on, you know you want to and you know it makes sense!

You will not regret it; this is a site, and network, you want to be a part of as it continues to grow...

I wasn't aware Rivals had folded! ... But jump on board fellas and you recieve a warm welcome from all at Vital Pompey - It's not just about front page articles either, as Rug says within the forums you can find every aspect of Pompey discussed in detail ... Even down to what colour socks Kev the kitman wears on matchdays.. well maybe not but still worth a look.. The best Pompey fan site by a country mile..

Blimey, poor old Rivals. Admitedly I'm not an expert in website management but I'd have thought that once a site was up and running there was only minimal costs involved in keeping it up?

Cookie pleased with Bournemouth showing

You cannot always gage too much from pre-season can you. Although the game with Bournemouth tends to again show Pompey have goals in us this season...but we'll concede them too?

Pompey and Bournemouth play out 3-3 draw

Those who turned up in the Fratton sunshine for Alan McLoughlin's benefit match with Bournemouth would view it as an afternoon well spent with it value for money.
