'If It's Football, It's Vital'

UAE ruling family link dismissed

'Reports' coming out of the United Arab Emirates last night were claiming that Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr al-Qassimi, of the UAE's ruling family, had purchased a 60% majority stake in an English club - who this club is has not been confirmed but it apparently would 'be announced this week.'

Of course this has seen two and two put together - maybe correctly so? - that this has some link to our takeover...

These reports, which could be with any one, ok maybe not anyone, but most of the premier league clubs, have been dismissed as having 'no link' to Dr SAF's proposed takeover at Pompey.

Who knows what to think, or know what is going on anymore - all that I do know is I want this takeover to go through, and the sooner the better!

It is going to happen though, it would just be nice for this to be done already, although as they say 'good things come to those that wait' I guess...lets just hope we are not waiting much longer :-)

In the meantime, as we wait for our deal to go through we all also just wait to see who this 'mystery club' is!

Rug, you could write a book about this takeover it has so many links, twists and turns. Like you I want this done ASP. We do however seem to provide the hacks with fuel for their tabloid fires!!

It's getting quite draining, be so so glad when Dr Saf signs, I don't really want to think of the horrible alternative.

Don't think that this is anything to do with us (he said, not knowing what to think really) I seem to remember when the deal was in it's early stages that it was expressed that there was no link between Dr SAF and the ruling family. Haven't they got something to do with Man City??

i'm bored of all this. It was almost more intresting when we wern't being taken over!

Says in the 'papers' (not the Sun) yesterday that Saf isn't really a Dr. Is there anything else we should know about being right and proper to run our Football club.
