What caught your eye, and why? Squee

Having seen the Pompey fixture list now 'what fixture(s) catches you eye the most, and why?'

This is what Squee said...

Hmmmm, as long as we are safe by the last game of the season (which I sincerely hope will be the case) then I wonder if the Everton away will be a bit of a dull affair in terms of the football - a (hopefully) majority of the squad will be off on international duty for their various countries so won't want to get injured.

Saying that though Liverpool is a great day out and if you've never been to Goodison Park then it's a must. I'm sure anyone who's been will agree with me when I say there's a touch of Fratton Park about it ;)

im not quite sure if this was meant as Squee's 'what caught my eye' or if it was just a response to tony and saying goodison would be his one? what i do know is Squee seems to make some good point about this game, so does seem as tho it did catch her eye...

Squee surely there mut be something earlier than the last game. We must have more ambition than survival!

to be fair this comment was made in this thread after tony's about everton - so im not entirely sure this is what caught Squee's eye...
so i might be doing her an injustice?

We shouldn't worry about the toffeemen surely. Didn't we turn them over and suck them in twice this season already. I am more concerned at the moment with our new owner, is it on is it not, the Thaksin element etc. etc. The 20,000 Stadium we currently have and the Ryman League bogs. Yes we do want to stay in the Premier League, but at what price...only time will tell where the fickle hand of fate will land us. I just hope we can all be happy with the outcome.

You guys need to be think ing about being safe by the 15th name of the new season. Who is your owner? What will you become?

Wow, fame at last! hehe, thanks for posting this Rug. You're right though, it was originally written in response to Tony's comment about Goodison being the last game of the season. I didn't want to dampen any enthusiasm he had for the fixture but unfortunately I have found final games of the season to be quite disappointing in terms of the football (still a bit peed off about the Wigan one!) and with the World Cup coming up there'd be more reason/excuse for the players to put on a poor performance.

With Doncaster and Plymouth yet to play Portsmouth took advantage to close the gap and extend it on the chasing pack. Newport & Leyton Orient look likely to be relegated.

With Stevenage drawing and Blackpool the only potential challenger winning we've got a six point cushion on Boro that's effectively seven given our superior goal difference.
