What caught your eye, and why? UKTony

Having seen the Pompey fixture list now 'what fixture(s) catches you eye the most, and why?'

This is what UKTony said...

Everton away is a must.

a) Last game of the season so either nail biting or party time.
b) Never been there.
c) Gill's home town.

nice one tony - i think goodison is one that i would like to do this season too methinks as ive not been there and it is the last game, you cannot beat being at that last game of the season can you...if i do i would most certainly, i think, make a weekend of it - wish i had wigan tbh, that would have made it after the dross served up!

Just mind the stereo lol

another fixture just caught my eye. it's not Ajax, but it is rangers - and mendes - at fratton park...
pompeycarpet
I wonder if that was the "ajax game" that rug was alluding to?
UKTony
you'll love liverpool, rug so yes, make a weekend of it if you can.
UKTony
Yes I've got Goodison pencilled in as well - last match of the season, should be good. And Manc citeh! Every other time I've been to a match in Manchester I've gone on the supporters coach, this time I want some time in Manchester to see the place, in particular shopping in the Trafford Centre and there's the Curry Mile. Supporter's coaches can be great but they just literally whip you away from the town as soon as the final whistle's over.

I had mentioned on the forum about a possible Vital Pompey away day next season. Is Everton too far?
tracyc
I put that to Rug last season for the last game at Wigan Tracy, with plenty of notice, but those that went had there own plans, so we did also with 5 of us from 4 counties Hampshire,Surrey,Devon & Cornwall, Pompey Pride of the south from east to west.

Done Anfield but never Goodison. Though last season's 3-0 win up there will take some beating. Good one Tony, love to Gill.

Liverpool is great, especially with a 'local' tour guide!! lol. Saw some bloke I recognised in the town with his kids, Primark bag in hand just stood there having a chat and it was Jamie Carragher.

I agree Liverpool would make a geat weekend( well I would wouldn't I), I can't make the Everton game as my shifts for next year mean I'm working that weekend (although that could change). I am, however available to visit the old enemy at Anfield, the only problem being the whole family will want to come up.
Lemmi
i did anfield last season but had to go up and come back in one day, it was a 19-hour day from leaving to getting home again...
well, i think i can claim that as a 'victory' - the rangers game, said there would be one at fratton!
