A 'mass exodus' from Pompey is only a mass exodus in terms of numbers, those, on the whole actually leaving Fratton for good will leave without any real pain, this will be minimal!
Good riddance to bad rubbish is what we need to say about most!
If anything, with the vast majority, we should be jumping with joy to see these 'freeloaders' finally cut loose from the wage bill as too many of these 'wage grabbers' have been 'leeching' money from us for too long and had offered little, or nothing, to Pompey last season and for some an even longer period of time!
Obviously losing Glen Johnson will be a bitter blow, but lets be honest we have been braced for this for sometime - so as much as I, along with everyone of you, would have rather kept him he is a player that has the quality to move on, and at the money offered we could not really say no either could we?
We will be looking to put measures in place in the future to prevent this kind of thing in the future - and if we do things right we will not only bring in these top players but will be in a position to also keep them.
From those out of contract, the ones that we wanted to keep - the younger ones - have been dealt in already. Senior players we want to keep have been offered deals so it is up to them to accept.
If Sol, The Herminator and Kanu want to join Linvoy in committing, even if this is done so on reduced terms, fantastic, if not then that is their call and we then cross that bridge when we come to it.
But do not be fooled by what the media tells you about the 'implication' of so many players leaving, we will not miss many, maybe any of them that have been confirmed as going - of course Davis will be a miss but if he wants to go so be it, Pennant might have been nice but it was not to be.
I know that I would rather we had kids come through from the youth and reserve sides to fill their void as these going were wastes of space on the whole anyway, at least these kids will be eager to play and not just suck blood, well money - you get the point, from the club!
Once our takeover is complete, and it will be complete, we will see some actions and positive ones - just do not expect multi million pound players ;-)
PLAY UP POMPEY!

pele, gekas and pennant have also gone after loans, the latter would have been nice but the others didnt even play, well bar a few seconds for gekas...
davis is a miss, but we will replace him, mullins, hughesie, diop, basinas and mvuemba doesnt look alot in the middle of the park but if we had to settle for that we would - we will be ok... trust me :-)
