Maybe Glen Johnson's move to the bin dippers is not as cut and dried as they thought, and you may recall earlier in the week they were actually offering 'Johnson TBC' as an option for official shirt printing!
The scousers 'might' be left with egg on their faces with it today 'reported' that Chelski have matched the bin dippers £17.5m offer for the England man, with Peter Storrie said to have confirmed this with it now up to him where he wants to go...
The Pompey chairman, among other things, mainly about champions league football and him wanting this said: 'the matter will come to a conclusion at the beginning of next week. I do not have a preference over the move, it is up to Glen' and 'the deals are almost identical so it really is down to him and what club he prefers, which one is going to pay him more money.'
At least early next week we will eventually know the score and this 'should' be sorted out. So, now Johnson it is over to you...

To be fair I can see the obvious benefits of either, and why you would go to either side but feel free to decide to go nowhere at all!

This gets crazier by the minute. I wonder how in touch Glen is about all this action if he's chilling out on a beach somewhere. Is he sipping a cold beer while tapping into the stream of articles on Newsnow. Red Shirt...Blue Shirt...R....B.... Maybe Ebay would be a better forum for selling/buying players!!!

lol We've got a poll running down at our site and a Massive majority dont seem to want Glen! Its not that he's a bad player, its just that we are extremely satisfied with Bosingwa!

well, that's exactly the thing. Liverpool fans are happy with arbeloa, your happy with bosingwa. If the media wern't making such a big thing about chelsea or liverpool, I'd have said he was off to man u, as they don't have a right back, and johnson linked up very well with rooney for england.

It's so tragic that what us pompey fans want more than anything in the world is for Glen Johnson to stay at pompey. We love and worship the guy but the fans of Liverpool and Chelsea don't even seem to care weather he signs for them or not! It's so unfair :(

My thoughts exactly Ziggstix, it's really sickening. I'll be glad when this whole sorry saga is over and done with so that we can put it behind us.

Ziggstix, the reason why we really dont care is that we've already got good, solid players, who will have to be sold to bring Johnson in! Imagine a situation like this. Imagine Pompei were trying their level best to bring Richards in at RB, even though Johnson is a God like figure in the club in that position. It dont make sense.

If Chelsea get Johnson, they could accept the Germans bid for Bosingwa, who would not have to miss CL games

Oh yes tracyc, that is a nice thought. Regretably I can't see it happening though, because I'm sure his sale is more to do with the club than the guy himself. We can all live in hope until it's comfirmed I suppose, stranger things have happened.
