More pre-season dates confirmed

The Pompey Site has confirmed another 3 pre-season friendlies have been arranged in late July in preparation for the 2009/10 season.

Traditional friendlies with local sides are again the order of the day with Havant & Waterlooville, Basingstoke Town and Eastleigh lined up on the following dates, at these venues:

Havant & Waterlooville at Westleigh Park on Tuesday 21st July. 7.45pm kick-off.

Basingstoke Town at the Camrose on Saturday 25th July. 3pm kick-off.

Eastleigh at the Silverlake Stadium on Monday 27th July. 7.45pm kick-off.

Participation in the Guimaraes Trophy in Guimaraes, Portugal had already been confirmed with games against Vitoria SC and Benfica on Friday 31st July and Saturday 1st August respectively.

i would say its a near 100% certainty to be a no to that tbh, which is a shame, but we do not seem to do home pre-season anymore...

I think they'll be doing stuff to the FP with new seats & other little face lifts that it may not be practical. But ya' never know.

Havant & W'ville isnt at home, but almost. I love those friendlies cos there's such a huge cross over of support, there is no home/away end. In fact I'm planning to wear the Pompey shirt AND the Hawks scarf at the same time for that match this year.
