'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Adams for Celtic? Probably not!

Tony Adams could find himself back in club management fairly soon if his own 'reporting's' are to be believed?

And this could see the former Pompey manager take the reigns at Celtic! He says that the job does 'appeal' but he has had 'no phone calls' about the post at the moment.

He also said that with a former Celtic manager Wim Jansen 'said' to be in line for a technical director post the Dutchman is 'claimed' by Adams to have been recommended by him as 'the man they needed to go and get.' And a set-up with an advisor above him appeals to him.

The guy endured a horrendous time in charge of us, and although you need more than luck this can go a long way in this game, and you cannot imagine that he could have any more of this go against him!

His management skills are still very much 'questionable' to say the least though I guess after a couple of, shall I say 'disappointing' cracks at this so far...

'Links' to the job have surprised me I must admit, although not as much as they have Celtic and Jansen himself it would seem... Celtic denying this and Jansen said he did not know anything of what was being claimed and has not even talked to our former manager for some time!

But, lets say, if he got the chance to manage them, granted it is looking increasingly unlikely, I would wish the guy all the very best, I have always had a lot of time for him - he might well need this luck though as I seem to recall the last England legend to manage Celtic did not go too well!

John Barnes was sacked within months, despite having a Celtic legend in the form of Kenny Dalglish helping him and overseeing things. Again though, any form of partnership is now looking increasingly unlikely?

Good luck Tony, if of course you do get that 'phone call' offering you the post? Without wanting to do him any discredit, not too many seem that keen on that job though do they...

Sorry, but I think this makes him sound unhinged and like he needs therapy. Is it a cry for help? Surely people with hard cash to spend on football clubs at a time of economic uncertainty wouldn't choose to employ TA at top flight level? No disrespect to the man and I am sure that has got something to fofer a lower league team but what has he proved so far? That he can't give a press conference, that he gets dressed in the dark and although Pompey weren't playing such dull football under him, they were sinking down the table faster than a docker sinks a pint.

Must admit it didn't sound right when I first read it. Given the denials now coming from north of the border, I do wonder if TA dreamt the whole thing up.

Probably had a kebab before going to bed and had a dream about shaking the hand of a man in a green and white shirt.

Mouth first & brain catching up eventually. something that I may suffer from but not good when you're in a high profile position & the media about. Can't imagaine for one moment that a masssive club like Celtic would risk an unproven manager in TA.

looks like Tony made the whole thing up..

oh dear. poor tony.

...Alright then I'll say it. The man is a total *****head. I went in to a deep depression the day he got appointed. We should all take the horseshoes out of our A**es and kiss the blarney stone for him having been canned soon enough that we didn't get relegated. (Sorry if any of this seems mean spirited, but reallly....GET OVER YOURSELF ADAMS !)
