Traore 'desperate' for blues move

Not 'that' Traore I am afraid guys...sorry for being 'misleading' or even 'sneaky' with the title!

With all the takeover talk with Pompey going on it would be easy to think that the Traore in question could be Armand Traore - although a permanent move to Pompey should Arsenal decided he can leave afterall would not be out of the question now would it? - but this is Djimi Traore, who has again expressed his desire to join the blues of Birmingham...

The defender, who is of course out of contract next month, wants to join them after helping them to promotion to the premier league after a successful loan but also 'claims' to have 'other options' with him available on a free.

I would like him to join Birmingham as although not the worst player in the world, he is by no means the best, so I would fancy our chances coming up against him in the Birmingham defence next season more than most others - sorry Djimi, no offence...

Remember there are other things going on besides this takeover talks so we must also discuss that as well!

Speaking of other news, Martin Cranie has been called into the England u21 squad for the European championships this summer.

Well done to him, although part of me cannot help but think we must be pretty short of options to have called him up when he cannot get a look-in at Pompey? That said the fact that he is so highly regarded in the England set-up must be a good thing right and bodes well for our future?

they can have him. Although birmingham would have to cough up to pay all his wages... not just the 100 a week they are paying at the moment.

And he think's we're going to be bothered if he goes to the brummies now? He can leave whenever he wants, and he can take Mokoena with him as well!

If they would take Djimi and Mullins, then it really would be Buy One Get One Free, Matt - as the stores call it "BOGOF" to the both of them
