Hats off to Burnley!

Hats off to Burnley!

Firstly, I must of course congratulate Burnley on achieving promotion to the premier league.

Hopefully the club and the fans can get the enjoyment from next season that they are looking for - I will not be disrespectful to the club and talk about what this might or might not bring, it is time to let them enjoy this success at the moment and let whatever will be, be, que sera sera and all that...

Secondly, and this was the main thing I had noticed really, I was watching sky sports news a while back and saw their chairman Barry Kilby talking and he spoke about 6,500 free season tickets that he will be giving away next season!

It would appear that he said that if premier league football was achieved next season he would give season ticket holders this for free - and with this happening he will honour this pledge.

Kilby said that these 6,500 season tickets is going to set him back some £2m, but confirmed that he will honour the pledge he made, so hats off to him...

Gonna be a very interesting league again next season. Can't imagine a lot of quality will be on show but it will be extremely competitive. Seen Burnley a few times this season..theyre a hard working side and play some lovely football. No real stars, just a good team ethic.

they played quite a few premiership teams this year - and came out very very well. They certainly won't be a push over... which will make our life all the more dificult!

Congrats to Burnley. Great to see a team with so much history & tradition come into the prem. They will surprise a few teams & don't be surprised if they do better than Wolves & Brum.

I wanted Sheff Utd to win because beside Luton and Leeds they are the most ripped off supporters/club going around. Bt being an Aussie i know very little about Burnley outside of the football side of things, but after finding out aboiut the town and things like this pledge by their chairman i saw welcome and hopefully you can cut above your eight for seasons to come, as long as Pompey can too of course. Now COME ON HAVANT AND WATERLOOVILLE!!!!!!! lol
