Lassie, Benji and Sulley to turn out?

According to The News Lassana Diarra, Sulley Muntari and Benjani could be among the former Pompey stars returning to Fratton on Monday for the 'Friends of Kanu' charity game for Kanu's Heart Foundation.

Kanu is quoted as saying 'I spoke to Lassana three days ago and he confirmed he will definitely be there,' so it looks like Diarra is dead cert! 'Benjani is a good friend as well and he has told me he will be there,' so that sees Benjani sorted the only question mark that hangs over the trio all returning is that around Muntari's involvement, 'Sulley said he might be, but he is still very hopeful of joining us at Portsmouth again.'

Michael Essien, Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor are other names that have been mentioned as turning out this time - and I know all 3 have played in the past. Lomana LuaLua is also expected to return to Fratton for the game along with a host of other stars forming the 'Pompey XI' and 'Friends of Kanu' sides.

For me the thought of seeing Diarra one last time would be enough for me as I was not at Bolton so was not able to say goodbye to him when he said his goodbyes to us...

The closer the game gets the more I want to go, but I just do not know how I will be able to manage travelling to from Devon - Wigan and back on the Sunday to then be able to then travel up to Pompey in time for the 2pm kick off...trains on a Bank Holiday Monday will not be that good will they?

Ahhhhh Diarra and Muntari. Could be worth it, still cash on the day I understand. If Kanu isn't allowed to stay, this will also be last benefit/charity match.

Yong, you better get down there with your autograph book, coz being at the Kanu match will be a lot cheaper than flying to Madrid!

no sulley - he'll still be involved in the italian league. but it will be nice to see diara back. but the question is... what will he have on his shirt? "Lass" or "diara"?

Diarra can have whatever he wants on his shirt as long as he is there.
