Pompey Player of The Year

Vital Pompey will have a player of the year award!

I will make sure that the Vital Pompey certificate is given to the player that wins the Vital player award. I will try and get some money together and buy a trophy and try my hardest to get the award given out on the pitch!

Whatever happens Vital Pompey will be giving a player of the season award to the player that wins it. I need nominations for five Pompey players which will then be voted on.

You can register your nomination either at the bottom of this page or in the Pompey forum. (You need to be a registered user.)

1) Register or log in.
2) At the bottom of this page or in the forum.
3) Put your nomination forward and why you think that this player should win the first ever Vital Pompey player of the year.

I’m very excited by this idea (big headed or what) because I know someone within the club who will at least be able to give the winner the Vital Pompey certificate and maybe even persuade Milan to let one Pompey Vital user present the Vital Pompey player of the year award on the pitch against Liverpool.

Play up Pompey

Can't argue with those two, however my third choice would be Primus who always tries hard and gives his all. Not always on top of his game but never stops trying.

Three excellent players, who have had a great season for Portsmouth. But i'm going to add a 4th with Matt Taylor. Scored some excellent goals this season and put in some good commanding performances.

How can anyone pick 1 player. i agree with ALL 4 so far, but then want to Add Davies, he has come back from being unfit to superb. Then i want to add MEndes... he is so lively and battles for everything. Then i want to add Jamie Ashdown, he may be young, and still learning, but he was asked to peak 5 years ahead of his time, as we had monkeys around him challenging to stand between the sticks, and he did good for us... Shall i name the whole team? as i really think they are battlers. Even Benji has got to be given a pat on the back, The guy cant score to save his life, and i think this is due to pressure, but look at the assists he has been involved with, he set up Gary o'neil at fulham for his first, and then LuaLua saturday in the "Inch" wide shot. Come next year he will be superb, maybe time to rest him now till end of season and let him build again from pre-season friendlies... just like Toddy did when he joined us. Oops sorry, getting carried away, so i will nomitnate them all lol
