Top turnout, top weather...shame about the game!

Last weekend, prior to the Arsenal game, Vital Pompey held an 'end of season gathering' at The Milton Arms.

As always, as it is prior to every home game, the offer was extended to anyone who wanted to join us there to do so for a beer and a chat, and there was a really good turn out!

Along with 3 of the 4 members of the sites full time writing team on this site, paultsmouth could not make it; of course myself pompeyrug, Chix and eastneydave, others, including some who I assume were friends/family of others that turned up, were also in attendance - they were:

Darren - I do not actually know your vital username mate?
Gandor - who sadly missed the photo
Lemmi - with Mrs Lemmi
pentonpompey - with Mrs pentonpompey, with the pair soon to be married
pompey4me - with one junior pompey4me
pompeyyong - who took the photos
sea-juicer
Sneakay
storagematt
tracyc - with Mr tracyc, although I do not think that they are married, yet...
UKTony - with Mrs UKTony

Thanks to pompeyyong for taking some photos, including this one

Other photos were also taken and can be found in the albums section in the forum, which you can see by clicking here.

Thanks to everyone that turned up, I know that I had a cracking afternoon, on what was a fantastic day weather wise - it was just a shame that there had to be a football match to disrupt this, even more so that it had to be one that saw us again approach it in such a negative way, when we had all been so positive!

Like I say, the offer for anyone to meet up for a beer at The Milton prior to any home game is always there, I - and others - will be there before just about every home game, so just give me a shout if you will be there and I will be sure to let you buy me a beer :-)

Remember to preferably turn up early if you want to keep me company! (Although appologies to Tony, as I was late on this occassion. I blame the traffic).
Plus I managed to increase a bit of my sun tan on this occassion standing out in the sun!

Just a thought - you should do one of those 'from left to right are...' captions.

Was a lovely afternoon. Would have liked more time to get around and talk to everyone, and to be honest, we just as well have stayed at the pub, would have enjoyed it more...... Except for the Linvoy tribute which I thought was just fabulous. Wish I could have seen his face as he ran along the warm up strip.

I've just seen the link to this article emailed from a friend from my former workplace - it had been sent around as a link in an e-mail entitled 'recognise anyone'? Shows how Vital Pompey gets known. It was a great afternoon, apart from the match! Anybody going to be there before the Sunderland game then?

Tony you can just see Gill's hat behind Rob. I did suggest short to the front and tall to the back but Gill was a little shy. She is in the other photos on the Album follow Rug's link.
