Pompey ratings v Arsenal

Pompey ratings v Arsenal

What would you have rated the players, the manager and the fans out of 10 for our game at Fratton against Arsenal over the weekend?

Well this is what Owenspompey, who was in attendance at the weekend, has given them...

Thanks to Owenspompey for doing this, it is much appreciated.

A bit harsh, didn't think we were that bad.The first 2 goals were very avoidable. Some better finishing & a bit of luck, we may have won it on another day. Ok, maybe got a draw!

I thought we were unlucky with a few decisions and should have converted atleast 4 oppertunities. Against a lesser team we may have got bc into the game. I just hope we don't pay the price for trying to draw with blackburn and sunderland as I think they'll be up for the matches and could put us in serious trouble. I still think that we'll stay in the league but only because there are teams playing worse than us! P.U.P

I feel it is a little harsh there Owen. Were we watching the same game? Jamo made one error, but made a fantastic save in the second half that many keepers would not have done. I agree that Noe was not good, but that is due to not playing for so long. As for it being an Arsenal reserve team....Bendtner, Asharvin, Walcott, Song, Eboue, Sagner and Djourou are all regular starters and Wenger was forced to make a few changes due to injury. I think our team only had the same amount of regular first team starters in it.

Yep Moley, we are going to scrape through and no two ways about it. I thought we were bad, but again, not as bad as the papers would have it. As Matt says, the first two goals were avoidable and we did have a few chances we were unable to finish. The quicker we get to the finish, the better as far as I am concerned.

I hate the comment "lesser teams", does that apply to Stoke, Hull, WBA etc., as we struggled against them. The fact is that Arsenal came with a second string, Clichy, Gallas, Toure, Fabregas, Van Persie, Eduardo and Adebayor plus a couple of others missing. We needed to be on top of our game, and Jammo's error knocked the stuffing out of us straight away. As for Pamarot he should like Linvoy have had games in the stiffs as should some of the others, to be short of match practice with four games to go shows a lack of vision and passsion to play. Lets not hide behind Pompey coloured blinkers boys, we would have been safe if we had got a point or three and once again mistakes and poor selection have cost us, we could still live to regret it.

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
