Storrie - Grant links are 'utter rubbish'
Weekend 'reports' claimed that Avram Grant 'had the Pompey job if he wanted it', but this has been 'rubbished' by Peter Storrie on the Pompey Site this morning as 'utter rubbish': 'Avram is a good friend of the club but to suggest he will be returning to Fratton Park is totally untrue. There have been absolutely no discussions with Avram.
'Had the Sunday newspaper checked with the club, we would have told them so.'
I sincerely hope that this is true as the thought of Grant taking over feels me with little enthusiasm. I will take his word on this, but what is said and what actually happens are not always one in the same...
The praise that Storrie has lavished on Paul Hart and Brian Kidd recently continued with more praise for the 'tremendous job' that they have done, and fair play to them, they were tasked with a job, and they have 'nearly' completed the mission.
He also said that we needed to be thankful for the job they have done of 'nearly' guiding us to safety: 'Paul, Brian and the players know we are not free from the threat of relegation just yet but we have taken big strides towards safety and every Pompey fan should thank them for doing that.'
Survival was a must this season, with this almost achieved looking to the future is the next step and this future seems to be a 'nailed on' one with Hart and Kidd in charge...

Like Storrie would admit to a new manager at this crucial stage of the season! Once know of our situation for next season, then maybe. My fear is they will go with thje soft, cheap & wrong option & change nothing. Then Hart will be sacked sometime before Xmas as we struggle for the start of next season!

storrie saying this means nothing. well, it might mean HE isn't in talks YET - but it could mean sascha is in talks, and peter will be once they have progressed. no, I have no confidence in the man.

Oh it seems .. I'm jumping to Uncle Peter's defence again.. It really get me that he gets slagged off at every opportunity. He is the Cheif Executive of the club.. He can hardly spill the beans can he ?... and because he may say something that (in time) turns out not to come to fruition he branded a liar and a cheat. I firmly believe PS has the clubs best interest at heart and there are a lot worse CE out there I can tell you.. All that said I don't want Grant at the club ... and therefore I will trust in Uncle Pete... If you read 'EXACTLEY' what HE says and not the spin the papers (espeically The News) put on it then you too might start seeing things from m (his) point of view ... Peter Storries actions action have kept this club afloat this season .. Without him we would be trouble..
