Davis looking for that 'bit of luck'

Sean Davis does not score many goals for Pompey does he, and that it putting it polity!

When he was with Fulham he used to score a fair amount, and some crackers too, but since moving onto Spurs and then of course here he has only managed 1 in his last 102 games...

Well, according to quotes on ITV.com, he is looking to chip in with some more goals between now and the summer: 'I've been hammered for my scoring record but, to be fair, I've been unlucky.

'I've had plenty of shots - two or three at least - which have hit the posts. And goalkeepers have made great saves. I just need a bit of luck to turn it around.'

To be fair the guy, as he says, has been really unlucky - I can recall at least a couple of efforts that have come back, or gone wide, off the post this season and he has seen the likes of Edwin Van Der Sar and Petr Cech make some fine saves to deny him.

If he, or anyone else for that matter, could chip in with some goals from midfield it would really help us though!

I am not sure if anyone actually saw the ITV article, which was fairly true and accurate, although I would question the articles thoughts that 'he felt he was underemployed by Adams - who often put him on the bench - but is relishing life under Paul Hart' part. Did Tony Adams really 'underemployed him?'

Hmm, I am not so sure... Was it not injury, and suspension maybe, that sidelined him for a while...

Get those shooting boots on Davis, and others, and lets hope we get a result from you, or again, others on Monday, with or without a bit of luck!

Curbishley rumours 'resurface'

Although to be fair by saying the rumours that Alan Curbishley is 'apparently' being lined up to take over in the summer have 'resurfaced' is a bit misleading!

As despite the 'claims' on FansFC that we are looking to the former Charlton and West Ham manager, there is nothing else at all, anywhere!

The smart money, even if it is not the right money - only time would tell - is still very much on Paul Hart. With him again getting a glowing recommendation from Peter Storrie this weekend, even if the current acting manager is not thinking beyond this season. They may as well leave his name on the bosses door as this seems a dead cert to remain his next season...

Sean certainly deserves a goal or two for his efforts this season - how about the winner against Arsenal?

Personally, I don't care where the goals come from, as long as they do. SD was unlucky with his effort that hit the post against Everton recently. At least having a few pops at goal may lead to someone else divrting it in.
