4,400 Pompey Fans at Fulham!

I posted an article earlier on in the week saying that three thousand Pompey fans would be attending the Fulham game. Well I was wrong as 4,400 Pompey fans made the trip to the west of London.

Basically what happened is when the allocated Pompey tickets where all sold (3,000) Pompey fans started buying tickets for the neutral area situated next to the away end. (Is it called the shed end?) This stand has a capacity of 5,000 and saw 4,400 Pompey fans with only 600 neutrals or Fulham fans.

The Pompey following was as strong as ever as Pompey took all three points. We went through the juke box rolling back the years to such songs as “Shalala lalalala, Shalala lalalala we sent the Sc*mmers down.” Just to give you an idea of how pleased the fans where the majority (75%) sung “there’s only one Harry Redkanpp,” which I thought was brilliant to see, as he showed at the end how much it meant to him.

Unfortunately there where a few boos but a win against Blackburn and Borough will surely see one of the greatest away game atmospheres ever seen at Charlton. Amazingly there are still tickets available for this game but as soon as that phone line opens Monday morning they will go in a matter of seconds.

It was a fabulous atmosphere there yesterday and I’m sure this will be carried forward to FP next Saturday. Pleased to hear the HR songs but disappointed with the boos. If you don’t agree with or like him, no issues, your prerogative. I have the same issue when we boo our own players, but then that is my prerogative. As for the Sha la la song, that “is so last season” and sounds a little daft. Bring on Blackburn, four on the bounce, 2-1 home win.

If i'm honest, i prefer not to mention it, i'm to much of a sceptic, and think it brings bad luck. I was at the WBA game last year, I have some pretty good memories of singing it that day!

One more point to make is not only have we made up the points but the goal difference to. A 2-0 win at blackburn and west brom to lose 3-0 would turn the goal difference right around.

The noise as I was walking through the park on the way back to the pub was incredible and that was about 15 mins after the final whistle. I saw the Met in front of me in the stand commenting on the place bouncing, they looked a bit concerned!

Paultsmouth should know that he can try and take the pee out of Fulham, but also that until four games ago you lot were doomed. If it wasn't for a dodgy Russian who no doubt made his money through illegal dealings I wonder where you would be now

Sour grapes Ollie...We got the double over you. The 1-0 at Fratton came before the Gaydamak investment. Anyway weren't you financed by some Arab from Harrods ? Go away and sulk, like all the other Fulham supporters.

Boo Boys need to get over their problem. Harry is Back and as a DIRECT Result Pompey are staying up, What more do they want. Like the "Sha-lala" song, this is ALL dated now. Its time to move on. For crying out loud, dont they realise how Stupid their "Anti Harry" campaign, and "Sending Scummers Down" songs make us look on the TV? Get behind Harry, Get behind the team, and lets get some NEW songs ringing out loud on Saturday.

One more thing lol....... I was at the baggies last year, and i too, have GREAT memories. My dream would be to Birmingham and Villa drop, and us and Baggies excape... Although thats probably asking too much. We could then sing "Gonna send the Brummies down" lol...
