Huge Pompey following going to Hull

Huge Pompey following going to Hull

Pompey will be backed by more than 2,000 Pompey fans at the KC Stadium for our game with Hull on Saturday week, with the Pompey Site confirming that all Pompey tickets for this vital game have now sold out!

The 'crunch relegation 6-pointer' could really ease our relegation fears should we win, and increase Hull's in the process, as we would overtake them for the first time in many months as we looked to carry on steps forward. Defeat however and their own relegation worries are very much eased, with our own very much on again - a draw and all bets are still on...

2,000 plus Pompey fans backing the boys is bound to give the players extra incentive to give us something to cheer about, although the wads of cash they get 'should' be enough, sadly this is not always the case - however recent indications are that they will give us everything... The effort, commitment and some of the quality that we have seen recently, something that we always knew we had, gives us a fantastic chance in my mind to get a positive result and send us all back home happy!

This away meeting with Hull will be the first since an April game at their old Boothferry Park ground in 1991, a game we won 2-0. A similar result would go down very nicely and make the god knows how many hours round trip even more enjoyable for me, and of course others!

2000 tickets doesn't sound a lot for a stadium the size of the KC. Is that what we asked for or is that what we were given? It's probably a bit late to ask for more now.

i 'might' be wrong but i suspect thats what we asked for, as i think with most these days you have to pay for whatever specific amount you want, use them or not?
no matter how many we take we always offer good support, but 2000 plus i think is a pretty decent away following for us these days, chicken feed to what it used to be, but it costs alot more now too doesnt it...

Also we've got a lot of away matches a long way up north coming up, it can be hard for people to make all of them. Glad to see there's a good Pompey following going - they'll certainly get behind the lads, and push them to that crucial victory.

I think that is really great. 2000 Pompey fans can certainly make as much noise as 10000 other fans. I am sure it will be loud online and on the radio!

I would settle for a draw but a win would be a massive bonus. We never seem to overtake Hull, so this is destiny in our own hands. With West Brom and Bolton following at Fratton we need to maximise our points opportunities ahead of Man Utd and Arsenal.
