Pompey slip into the bottom 3!
Tonight Blackburn played their game in hand against Fulham, and courtesy of a 2-1 at the Cottage - they came from behind to win as well - they moved above us, and others, into 15th place in the league, thus meaning of course we have dropped into the bottom 3!
So, the game with Boro - and the subsequent ones that follow - takes on even more importance now as at this point in time our own destiny is now no longer purely in our own hands. As long as we were out of this bottom 3 having played the same, or less games, it always was...
It is not quite a 'must win' game but avoiding defeat at the Riverside this weekend is very much a must, anything less than a point - and even if we 'only' get a point we could be looking at squeaky bum time, as things could start to look very uncomfortable come 6pm on Sunday!
We still have a game in hand of course, the 'easy matter' of a trip to Old Trafford to take on some tin pot outfit, Manyoo - gulp! 'If' we got spanked at Old Trafford then our goal difference would take another pounding, and this is not that good as it is! Parking the bus at its very best would be the order of the day that evening methinks...
But hey, each game as it comes - bring on the Boro!

If we beat Boro we will be out of the bottom 3 and then I think we will stay out. We have some good games coming up for us, but I really am just focused on this weekend.

Erm, Fulham haven't really played just 22 games, have they? They've played 28, the same as everyone else except us and MU, surely?

Guys this is a reality check we do have the easiest run in out of all the bottom 6 or 7, with the excrption of manyoo & everton we dont have any other team in the top half of the table if we dont stay up with PH & BK in charge then our players should all be shown the door this summer cos the wounlnt have been up for a fight like they been saying they are , confidence lads we will be ok

Do not forget Arsenal as well sea-juicer. Why does it feel so strange being in the relegation fight? It's only been 2 seasons! Come on fellas we are hardcore relegation fighting specialists! Come what may, as they say! Seems appropriate at the moment.

Newcastle are home to Hull, if the barcodes win that then the gap increases. Need a minimum of 4 poits from the next 2 games. Boro is certainly a don't lose game. 3 big bames in April, away Hull, home to Bolton & WBA. Minimum of 7 pts from them. No panic yet but if we wern't totally focused on the grim task ahead, we will be now.
