The 2009 New Football Pools Fanzine Awards saw Vital Pompey, and its personalities, heavily voted in the 1st round, the 'nomination' phase and this gained entry into the 'assessment round' into these categories:

In all honesty the chances of anything being won are still slim, but there is a much greater chance with it down to the judges to decide who the winners are - simply making this final cut is a massive achievement though, so I think those featured all deserve a big hand.

Think positive thoughts though, now the final round has been reached anything is possible for Vital Pompey and Chix - watch this space...

vital pompey is about more than 'me', vital pompey is 'our site' so its an award that has come about due to all the hard work of everyone to get us to where we are - which these nominations prove one of the top sites around... well done everyone!
as for Chix, its all my work really, i just let him put his name to it to make him 'feel better' lol! no, seriously well deserved - 2-years running he has made this, which is no mean feat.
