POMPEY LOOK TO HOME COMFORTS AT THE COTTAGE
On Saturday Pompey will have the support of over 3,000 fans at Craven cottage making it a home from home scenario, we haven’t fared well in recent years at the cottage, but with the up-lift in confidence hopefully that statistic can change.
Fulham have been exceptionally strong at home this season, completely contrasting their awful away form, in fact if they had performed just averagely they would be in the bottom three along with pompey.
Pompey have had an unexpected rest since West Ham, allowing Dejan Stefanovic to return to full training, this appears to be Harry’s only quandary, whether to re-introduce our captain to the centre of defence or stick with the winning formula. I sincerely hope the team remains intact, as after our last two win flurry over Christmas, the many changes put Pompey on the back foot and it took until March for another win!
Sean Davis returns to Fulham where enjoyed an England call-up, let’s hope he shows England form on Saturday, and keeps up the trend of scoring against old clubs A’la Toddy.
The defeat of Chelsea puts Fulham relatively safe against relegation now, so I’m hoping for an open game with plenty of football, and hopefully a Fulham side with one eye on the summer and a Pompey side full of passion and drive.
Come Saturday night , who knows, we could even be one point from clawing out of the bottom three, with the Brum at Chelsea, and West Brom entertaining Liverpool
Let the joke be on others on fool’s day!
Paul
