New dates for Man Utd and Newcastle away

The date has been announced for the rearranged game at Old Trafford. Setanta Sports have also decided to cover the clash with Newcastle United at St James` Park.

Pompey should have made their visit to Old Trafford next Saturday (28th February) but as United have reached the Final of the Carling Cup - where we will all be cheering them on of course - the game had to be moved. The new date is Wednesday 22nd April with an 8pm kick off.

The game the following weekend at Newcastle has also been moved to Monday April 27th also kicking off at 8pm. The game will be shown live on Setanta Sports.

Two tough trips but hopefully by then we will have accumulated enough points now to be hoping to pick up too many points 'up north'.

Get those diaries out boys and girls and make the necessary changes.

both on setanta? or just newcastle?

Hopefully Utd will have sorted the league out by then, so we "only" have to play their reserves !

Just Newcastle Midge.

Yep, hoping Man Utd are cruising home in the league but i doubt it. Hope they knacker themselves in the Champions league. As for the barcodes gits, well we owe them one after that pathetic home game in December.

rules out old trafford for me this season then methinks - it just too long a journey to go and then come back to returning only a couple of hours after i would 'usually' geet up, then with work later on that thursday, think i will have to say 'maybe' next season... altho that said i did say after seeing us beat manyoo at old trafford last season in the fa cup i probably would not go back, as 'i could not top that!'
newcastle is also a bummer now, was also up for that but was hoping it would stay over the weekend...

Midweek suits me better .. Funny how it pleases some of us and others not.. Still United anytime is gonna be tough.. That means we have Man Utd (A), Newcastle (A) then Arsenal (H).. I hope we have a few more points on the board by then !
Chix
Yes Chix, but basically I would still prefer to play Man Utd then than now. As you say the title could all but be decided by then, but if it's not !! On the other side of the coin a game in hand V Man Utd doesn't guarantee points and one can even go backwards when the goal difference kicks in. We do have a good one at the moment don't we !!!

Gnash! I knew when I booked the Newcastle hotel for the Saturday night that it was a remote possibility Setanta could move it to the Monday, but I was really hoping they wouldn't! Oh well, looks like a long weekend in the north-east then.
