FSF Fair Cop Cards

FSF Fair Cop Cards

FSF volunteers in the North East have three times distributed Fair Cop cards before local derby games. The cards encourage fans to pass on their matchday experience of policing and stewarding. An overall report is then passed to the authorities and the media (Fair Cop: Supporters give their views on derby day.)

At Portsmouth, always keen to break new ground, we are taking this a step forward by incorporating advice for fans about their rights on two issues of policing that are occurring more and more lately - Section 27 and Stop and Search. (Section 27 update.)

Liverpool and Portsmouth supporters are encouraged to look out for these cards in and around the Portsmouth area ahead of the Portsmouth v Liverpool Premier League match on Saturday.

No standing, not too much noise, think of the neighbours. All singing must have passed the pc test. So no chanting 'you nicked my stereo' or should that be 'sat nav'.

Do the rules on 'no standing' take into account that if the people in front of you are standing, you have to? Or are we expected to sit down anyway and listen to the crowd noise and the commentary on The Quay?

daft as it sound tracy you still are expected to sit. About 10 years ago, when the seats were first bought in. When something exciting happened we would get up from our seats & stand, as those in front would stand. A steward said I should sit because when I stand I obstruct a man who has complained. What was I to do? I got warned a second time & was told I would be thrown out if it happened again. I sat the whole match, missed a goal we had scored & then moved to another part of the ground for the next match!

no standing is a stupid rule. there should be deignated standing sections. it adds atmosphere to stand, you can do things better!

It's the pc brigade at it with football as the speed camera cops do it with motorists!
