Giovani dos Santos deal inching closer?

Sky sports news has confirmed that Spurs have accepted bids from 2 clubs, one of them being Pompey, for teenager Giovani dos Santos.

He was said to have had a medical at Pompey yesterday and sky sports news is now reporting that we are awaiting the results of this and looking to finalise the finer points of the personal terms but a deal is very much on?

Time will tell if we will get him or not, but we have just over 4 and a half hours to tie this deal up - at least the snow should not hold him up as he is already in Pompey... apparently!

well... the snow should hold him up for whoever the other club is. unless it's southampton... but that's fairly unlikely isn't it? :-)

Sky now reporting Spurs have accepted Portsmouth bid for Dos Santos.

This is about the only deal that I'm getting really excited about, apart from Saviola, so let's hope it comes off!
jbaker
take him up the Gunwharf and get him excited about the shopping and leisure opportunities which await. Take it from me, compared to Tottenham high street and most of Essex, Gunwharf is a thing of beauty and style. (not sure if 'take him up the Gunwharf' might be contrued as homophobic chanting...)

Just heard Villa are in for him.

lol hammersmithblue, good idea! maybe he will bve so impressed with the snow here he will fall in love and stay!! lol

and I presume this means we can all relax, Barton is staying up with the Barcodes
hammersmithblue
apparently we are still after GO'N but they have turned down an improved bid and that is the the end of that!
hammersmithblue
News from Sky is that he's definitely NOT coming as he's not match fit.

And on the BBC website live text: 1520: "Kev the kitman has told me that Niko Kranjcar has signed for Arsenal and is on loan to Pompey until the end of the season." Steve in Waterlooville, via text on 81111
hammersmithblue
That is NOT good news!...Fit he could of changed our season!
pentonpompey
errrr, we already have 2 domestic loans this season....
Bowlsey
Steve in Waterlooville is obviously delirious

Another dead duck to be be added to the almost but not quite list. Time ticking chaps anything else up the sleeve. Swap Crouch for Keene may be?
storagematt

Chix
