Basinas to finally arrive?
Angelos Basinas is a player that has been linked with Pompey for donkies years, 'according' to The News we will finally complete his signing today!
The midfielder is currently contracted to AEK Athens, but the 'word on the street' is he will arrive with Tony Adams finally succeeding where Jamie's Dad failed several times, during his two spells with the club?
Basinas has won 97 caps for Greece but is now 33-years-old, so are his best years behind him - but could he still do a job in our midfield though?
If the answer is yep, then this is a deal that will certainly benefit Pompey - who seem to be going Greek again, so long as it is not a Greek tragedy as it was the last time the Greeks came through the Fratton gates...
