I have heard enough

I have heard enough

I don't know about you, but I have heard enough!

I have heard enough "We are going down" talk
I have heard enough "We are preparing for the championship" discussion
I have heard enough "We are broke" conversations
I have heard enough "We should sack Tony Adams" chat
I have heard enough "I do not trust Peter Storrie" talk
I have heard enough "We will never move to a new stadium" discussion
I have heard enough "We will never replace Diarra" quotes
I have heard enough "We are signing has-beens" conversations
I have heard enough "The training ground will never happen" chat
I have heard enough ill informed idiots on the Quay
I have heard enough "If Sandra's husband had not left.." quotes
I have heard enough "Sasha will not invest anymore" speak
I have heard enough "Our squad is not strong enough" chat

In a nut shell

I have heard enough negativity and doom & gloom about OUR club.

Don't get me wrong, I am not wearing 'Rose Tinted Glasses'. I am informed enough to know that we have a few problems that need attention and I am not, for one minute, suggesting we all stick our heads in the sand and forget about them, but it is time to stop moaning and it is time for some positive thinking

We have a Manager who despite his track record is determined to make things work
We have a Chief Executive who is seeking out the best 'value for money' signings he can find
We have Champions League & UEFA Cup winners in our squad
We sell players to Real Madrid and get enquiries from Milan, Inter, Barcelona
We have a home ground with one of the best atmospheres in the country
We have 15 or so players who we know will die for the cause
We have seen European Football at Fratton Park
We buy players from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool etc.
We have the FA Cup in our trophy cabinet
We have an cash-strapped owner who will not sell unless it benefits the club
We have the go-ahead for a new training complex
We have Kranjcar, Johnson, Crouch & James. European internationals that play for our team.
We have players who have played in the World Cup finals on our books
We have a fantastic Youth Academy
We have Premiership status

And above all else

We have arguably the most passionate fans in England

It is time to stop "We are not good enough"
It is time to stop "We are going down"
It is time to stop "Sack Tony Adams"

It is time to stop thinking negatively

What we have is what we have - It is time to accept it and get on with what we do best 'SUPPORTING' our club.

It is time to for ALL OF US to take a good hard look and realise what matters is NOW

It is time for YOU to get behind YOUR team and show Tony and the lads that WE are 100% behind them in OUR fight for premiership survival

It is time for POMPEY FANS everywhere to stand up and be counted

I am number 1

"I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our Island home, to ride out the storm of war, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone…. ………..We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France,
we shall fight on the seas and oceans,
we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,
we shall fight on the beaches,
we shall fight on the landing grounds,
we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,
we shall fight in the hills;
we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old."
