Harry Redknapp just does not know when enough is enough does he! He claims 'he did nothing wrong' as far as Jermain Defoe was concerned, which fair enough if not mentioning you would like to sign him at any given moment is doing nothing wrong then he is in the clear... Either way, I think most are in agreement the best thing was for him to have left the club anyway.
He has now 'felt the urge' to mention Glen Johnson and how 'he would have gone back to Portsmouth for him' but has not done so as he 'did not want to get involved or cause any problems!' Oh, how very kind and noble of you sir...
Does he do these kinds of thing 'accidentally', not realising that just the mere mention of wanting to sign someone can be unsettling, or does the fella not even know what he does - hence why he always feels 'he does nothing wrong.'
Either way, if he 'does not want to cause trouble' why even mention him, or anyone else that plays for Pompey for that matter?
==========
A transfer getting closer?
The transfer targets are growing, all manor of names are 'being linked', most of whom have previous with the club or Tony Adams.
He has dropped a 'settle hint' at his liking for Joey Barton, who he knows from his Sporting Chance clinic and suggested that an improved offer for Gary O'Neil could be made - I still think that the fella will return to Pompey...
Yep, I know people might say 'are you not being a hypocrite for not slagging him off but doing so to Redknapp' for 'public speaking.' The way that Adams does this, and it is rarely, is totally different and so far very respectfully done.
Anyway, back to the 'links', a £3m re-signing of Benjani is growing and a £6m move for Manuel Fernandes surfaced yesterday, and of course there is his former Arsenal teammate Edu who is still said to be on the verge of joining on loan.
Hopefully we can get some dealings sorted out very soon - without a doubt by the time we face Spurs next weekend, maybe even by the time we have our FA cup replay on Tuesday?
