'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pompey training ground in the clear

The long anticipated ground on Lee-on-Solent waste ground has taken another step forward, The News reports today that the path is clear to start work.
Cllr Dave Smith said: 'Everything has been sorted out between us and Persimmon and as far as we are concerned it's full steam ahead.

'The club has worked really hard with us and everything is going very smoothly.

'I'm hoping work can start early in the new year, but it's up to the club when it starts work at the site.'

Great news, but Pompey spokesman Gary Double was a bit vague with timescales, just reiterating that it was good news and the club can press on.

Though I'd stick this up, seems to have been lost what with all the Defoe crap

Well let's hope so, though you feel you want to a lot of action rather than a lot of words!

Thanks Steve, bit harsh wasn't it!! Mind you loved the piece about Yoshi, what a legend he was.
Owenspompey
I feel for yoshi he carried the can for a bloody awful defence. I think he got a lot more than his share of the blame.
Steve C
I agree mate, but he wasn't very good was he!! Would have got a job with Snow White in panto!!
Owenspompey
maybe but he was a sight better than Ali Dia who's also on laughfc. One thing i shall always thank Graeme Souness for is the chance to laugh at that lot down the road.
