Pamarot after a new deal - should he get it?

Noe Pamarot has forced himself back into the side on a regular basis recently, be that as a left back, right back or central defender - and now he is eyeing a long-term deal.

The Frenchman, like many of his teammates, is out of contract in the summer and now that he is back in the side again he has made it clear that he wants to stay there - and sign a new contract in the process of course.

To be honest I have never really been that keen on the fella, even during his first spell with us in the 90s. But to be fair he came in last season and did a decent job when called up and has had his moments this season, but my thinking is that he is not good enough and I would not myself give him a new deal as he has looked 'a liability' this season - then again who has not...

Do we think that Pamarot deserves a new contract - more to the point will he get it? Views as always are welcomed please guys!

Premiership squad player but not for us. That's a no, then.

NO way !!!! Think swindon shall buy him lol
stfc ballboy
How old is he? He could always get better/more consistant but I wouldn't like to see him eating up our wage bill (unless he could do that literally, that would be quite a feat). However, if we lose Belhadj and Traore we would need him next season
Pompeyscum
yes - he can play all across the back 4, which is perfect for defencive cover. Should he be a first team choice? no.
pompeycarpet
yep, he can fill in several areas, but can he actually fill any of them very well! depending on what happens with others i wouldnt give him a deal - lets see what happens...
pompeyrug
Only really going to be a squad player, Sol seems to have lost it and I think we should move him on in Jan. I guess with the rumours about Jonno though his cover might be needed????
bluedr
No let him go, and use his wages to supplement a better player, he has done a job, but he is not really Premiership class, like so many poncing a living off us at the moment

Noe 30 in April, No idea of his wages?, Johnson broke down in trainning (ankle) so if we did let him go we would have to replace him, Ithink we would have to re-access in the summer in my opinion. So at his age they would only offer 1 year anyway.

Wilson could play at right back, Crainey could be recalled,Pamarot should just stay until the end of the season and then move on, he has done well, but we have to look at other younger talent.
Owenspompey
He is a squad player but of late not agood one. He has played well in the past though. The uncertainty of waiting until the summer is not good. Not just for him but many others. This is a very cynical move by the club who in turn havn't a clue at the moment.
