Extra uefa cup tickets requested

Due to the demand for tickets being beyond the 2,500 that Pompey had been allocated for our uefa cup game in Germany against Wolfsburg we have applied for more - and the outcome of this request should be know later this week.

If you attended both the previous uefa cup games in Guimaraes and Braga you are assured of a ticket for Wolfsburg in early December, but with the club inundated with requests it is hoped that Wolfsburg - who rarely sell out, so often have plenty of empty seats even for uefa cup games, will agree to the request.

This uefa cup game is potentially our last away trip of this seasons competition, maybe even our last European game ever - although as I am the eternal optimist and try to be positive almost all of the time my thinking and belief is we will be making further European tours in the New Year... in this seasons competition, let alone next seasons!

Just in case this is our last big hurrah in Europe, if you can make it, go. An away game in Europe is fantastic. Nothing compares with it. If you can, go, it may a while, if ever again (hoping not) that you'll get another chance. No regrets.

Good luck again to all still waiting and hoping to get a ticket.

The PFC website says that some club officials are out there talking to Wolfsburg. I can't see them saying no, everyone who's sent an application is either a season ticket holder or a member and has supplied travel details. They won't want thousands of Pompey fans in the town without a ticket. Hope so anyway - I'll be checking that doormat for the next week or so hoping for those tickets!

UEFA Rules say that the Club has to visit opponents to discuss arrangements so nothing out of the ordinary.

I had it all planned out... untill a few "problems" arose, which meant I was busy/couldnt go... It could well be our last away game in europe, and I will have missed them all... gutted!

Hopefully, Carps, it won't be the last. Apparently we can buy tickets for the 'neutral' areas which hold up to 8,000 - so for anyone who doesn't get a ticket via the club, there is hope. There's going to be some more information on the Quay tomorrow evening, I'll do my best to catch it and report on this site what they say.

There are no more tickets - its been confirmed. Vfl Wolfsburg have said no - well danke schon for that! Very disappointed with that. The club (Pompey) also say that those getting tickets should have there's by now, and I haven't got mine yet. (Yikes) They said on the Quay also that you can't buy tickets for the neutral zone via the Wolfs website unless you have a German address - they've stopped it. The website will let you, (I've checked) but apparently they won't send them to an English address. I'm hoping that a German person I know will be able to help with the German address, unless any Pompey members have friends/relatives in the Fatherland? If I can get some, anybody want me to get some for them too? (But I haven't asked this guy yet!) Also interested if other Vital members have recieved their tickets already. So, might be watching the match in a Wolfsburg pub! If Rangers fans can do it, we can do it! Big screen in the main square please!
