Wolfsburg v Pompey - Ticket update

Pompey have released some info on the uefa cup game with Wolfsburg, regarding who can and who cannot get tickets - below is what was said on the Pompey Site...

PLAY UP POMPEY!

==========

WOLFSBURG TICKETS LATEST

Tickets for Pompey's UEFA Cup tie at Wolfsburg on Thursday, December 4 will not go on general sale because of the high demand from season ticket holders and members.

Pompey have been given around 2,500 tickets for the group stage clash in Germany, which kicks off at 8.45pm (local time).

Supporters have applied by post for the tickets, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Season ticket holders will be given priority over members.

Still can't see how they can do first come first served on postal applications.. what are they gonna do if they get 3000 of them !!... Surely it'll be a lottery as to which envelope gets opened first !!

They did say there was a priority first for those who went to both - can only be a few hundred - then its season tickets and members, and although its first come first served, they also said season ticket holders will be before members. So fingers crossed we get ours!
tracyc
boo hoo no money so can't afford it. I hope those who have applied get their tickets.

I don't understand how Pompey FC do their tickets. So many 'applications' and 'ballots' and so on. What happened to good old ring n reserve?!

We have our tickets, after a technical admin error, which couldn't find one of us. We are now going, probably our last big away day for a while!
