The football genie grants you one wish...

'I would most like to see Spurs get relegated if I had one wish', not my vote, yours - although these findings from NinjaTim's poll are thoughts, given the options available, I just about went for too!

The full polls title was 'The Football Genie can grant you just one of the following wishes. Make your choice carefully, as money cannot buy you everything (at least not the satisfaction of Spurs playing in the Championship),' but as I could only use a certain number of words had to abbreviate, but I think we got the message...

Taking into account Tim's warning that 'money cannot buy you everything', I sacrificed the wish of Bill Gates taking over, and as much as having Cashley Cole's missus Cheryl Cole as my mistress appeals to me a great deal I clearly know that I did not need to waste my wish on that - why bother as its inevitable that she will realise this in time anyway... so Spurs to be relegated it was, and maybe this could come true!?

You would expect Spurs to get out of trouble, given the quality that they have at their disposal but only once in the past decade has a side that has made as poor a start to the season as they have survived - anyone dare to hazard a guess as to who this side was...

  • What the poll asked - The Football Genie can grant you just ONE of the following wishes. Make your choice carefully!

  • How you voted - Spurs to be relegated 47 %, Cashley Cole's missus leaves him to be your mistress 18%, Southampton to be relegated 12%, Bill Gates to buy Pompey 8%, Joey Barton to be banned for life 6%, Southampton to go bust 5%, Nugent to score a league goal 3%, Utaka to be sold 1%

  • Current Poll - Who was our standout performer against the Villa at the weekend?

The meeting with Villa at Villa Park will sadly be remembered for the wrong reasons, but who was your Pompey man of the match on Saturday? This is what pompeyrug wants to know with this, although it will be changing shortly, probably later today - 'Man of the match against Villa?' Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

If only I could have the Genie's top three wishes !

Surely Spurs should not be relegated .. How could people think such a thing? They are a massive club with great tradition and great support and deserve beyond anything else to take their rightful place in the top four. I just can't understand why people could ever wish for such a thing... What is the game coming to if people think Spurs should go down, the premiership would fall apart without them.... OR SO THEY TELL US...
    21/10/2008 07:56:00
How long will it be before we are told we are a small minded, tin pot club who despite finishing above Spurs do not deserve to be in the premiership ourselves.. I'm counting... 1...2...3...
    21/10/2008 07:59:00
You won't be told that Chix, because Spurs fans are all mature, polite and modest, and would never do such a thing...

Is was a tough call between the options that came first and second, but as Cashley Cole is a fictional character I plumped for Spuds to go down. It would make a real nice change to see a bigger club get wiped off the Premier ladder. It wont happen though.

Think it says a lot about you that rather then wishing success on yoursleves you wish failure on others imo
    21/10/2008 09:09:00
You guys can go on wishing to find Mrs Tweedy nekid in your bed because it's looking more and more likely that we won't have to wish for Spus to get relegated!! Lol - I am a Gooner, but think this article deserves a "Play up Pompey"!!!!!
    21/10/2008 09:11:00
So Spurs are the 'New' scum? The team we hate most in the prem?
    21/10/2008 09:36:00
You'll have to get in line!! Lol. We've got dibbs on that right, and I'm pretty sure Chelsea aren't overly keen either. We'll have to form a support group .... we'll call it Arsemouthsea!!!

Good decision boys because Cashley's missus cooks a lousy breakfast!

    Another Fratton disappointment

That 2nd half on Saturday against Notts County was woeful - absolutely awful wasn't it. The first 15-minutes or so of it was like a pre-season friendly to pre-season!

Match highlights - Pompey 1-2 Notts County

What a disappointment that was! The 1st half wasn't bad, in fact large chunks of it were good but the 2nd half was just woeful with a soft centred Pompey beaten 2-1 by Notts County.
