'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Make use of the 'Albums' section on Vital Pompey!

You, the Vital Pompey members, seem to be making full use of most areas of this fantastic site but you might not have noticed there is also another section, somewhat tucked away...

This, almost secret section, can be found as a spin off in the forum and is called 'albums' and is basically what it says a photo album for us to use. You can use this to publish your own photos of your Pompey memories to share with fellow Pompey fans.

It is found in the top right hand corner - below the Pompey crest on the page banner - in the forum, close to where you login/logoff.

Or simply click here.

Once in the albums section click on the 'create and edit your photo albums' section, and this will bring up this window - see screen shot below...

Album Help

When you get this simply give the album the name that you want and a description of what photos are within it, for example I have one for the FA cup semi final:

Title - wembley semi final
Description - a small selection of photos taken on my phone at the cup semi final...

When you have done that you simply click on 'upload photos', you then click 'browse' and track down the folder that you have on your own PC that contains the photos that you want to use. Here is another screen shot - below - to help explain a little more...

Album Help

Once you have found this select the image you want click 'open' and then click 'submit' and it will upload to your album.

So, you have found the folder you want, selected the image and it should have uploaded - but please note the file must be gif, png, bmp or jpg format to upload and no bigger than 400KB. You can use any old art package to make the file a size that is suitable enough to use, although I often find that if you make your image around 7"x5" or better still around 6"x4" in size you have no problems whatsoever!

Once you have uploaded the photos you want, one at a time, you can then add further images to this at anytime you wish - should you wish to do this just go into the albums section again, select your album page and then you will see this menu below:

'Return to viewing all photo albums / Edit this album / Upload photos'

Simply select the 'upload photos' option and add more photos as you did before - alternatively you can create a new album if you wanted to keep your next adventure separate to the last!

Go into the albums section - here - where you will see several albums that have been created by various Vital Pompey members already!

I hope this all makes sense and helps, and more of you will start using this area of Vital Pompey as much as you do the other areas...

Good stuff Squee!! That is what I have been trying to get more members to do to show us what they look like and what they have been up to - maybe shots of Pompey shirts in famous locations around the world. Thanks for helping members with the 'idiots' guide Rug and come on Vital Pompey members you have no excuses now.
eastneydave
There's even a picture of me on there !
Chix
I would put some pictures on but I don't have any football ones yet.
Gandor
It doesn't like me!
storagematt
I did not know this was here until last week. I really should open my eyes more.

Finally got round to putting a handful of photos on. Tried before but it didn't like me (took forever to upload a photo) - have now reduced the file size of the photos and it worked in a matter of seconds. You can see that despite his protestations that I called him "fat" (which is a scurilous untruth), Sneakay is not fat - he's just heavy boned.
NinjaTim
a fair few have added albums since this - fantastic! hopefully 'my ramblings' pointed you in the right direction?
storagematt, its doesnt like you because your images are usually 3 times - at least - the size they should be...
