Further Pompey fixture changes

With our continued uefa cup adventure, which will mean another 4 European games at least, this will mean more fixture changes...

Portsmouth v Fulham - scheduled for Saturday 25th October with a 3pm kick off will need to be changed as we play Braga on the Thursday... The major problem with this one is when is it changed to? The Great South Run takes place on Sunday 26th. That was the day it would have been moved to, but the roads would be chaos!

Portsmouth v Blackburn - scheduled for Saturday 29th November with a 3pm kick off will need to be changed as we play Milan on the Thursday... This will almost certainly switch, and I would think to Sunday 30th with a 3pm kick off, but this has not been confirmed yet.

West Brom v Portsmouth - scheduled for Saturday 6th December with a 3pm kick off will need to be changed as we play Wolfsburg on the Thursday... This has been rearranged already with it confirmed as a 3pm kick off on Sunday 7th.

Bolton v Portsmouth - scheduled for Saturday, 20 December with a 3pm kick off. This should not need to be changed though as our game with Heerenveen is taking place on the Wednesday.

The Blackburn change 'should' be fairly straight forward to switch, but it is the Fulham one that concerns me, as I am not sure how it could be played on the Sunday with the Great South Run also taking place? From a personal point of view my travel plans back home from Pompey see me return on the Monday - so I will clearly be hoping that the game can be played on the Sunday...

FULHAM UPDATE!
I can now confirm that the game will kick off at 4pm on Sunday 26th October... A contact at the club has confirmed this!

The 'small' price of success!
pompey4me
Saturday 3pm will soon be a thing of the past. Was aware the Council had asked Pompey not to play on the Sunday of the Great South Run - but what is the alternative?
eastneydave
Ahhh, P4M my thoughts exactly. As Fulham. They should give us the 3 points in respect of last season when we let them stay up. Play it on a Monday nite matbe the only choice. Not ideal but ....

monday is looking like it could be the day... if that is the case then i miss the game! it is my aunty's 60th so im also going up for that, but the game was the thing i looked at first when booking trains tbh - i got up on the tuesday before (i was taking into account a possible european game when booking) and my train is booked back on the monday - i wonder if anyone will compensate me for this? thought not... altho in fairness there isnt really alot that can be done, and no one is really to blame are they...

The of success indeed. Shame though as we were. as a family, looking forward to the Fulham game and won't be able to go if it's the Sunday or Monday. What happens about refunds from TicketShyster?

Cancel the Great South Run, I say!
Gandor
Move the great run to Monday, with floodlighting. If it's good enough for the grand prix!!!
storagematt
in an ideal world both can happen on the sunday... but not likely is it!
pompeyrug
i can confirm that the game will take place on the sunday with a 4pm kick off time!
pompeyrug
The news on the Great South run is that Paula Radcliffe has entered and that will increase the interest greatly! Not from gandor though obviously :D
eastneydave
I have not looked that far ahead as to how it will effect me. One day at a time at the moment will do me fine. lol

"Great run" ... now THAT's an oxymoron if ever I heard one ;-)
pompeycarpet
Monday was never an option as we travel to Liverpool on wednesday 29th, Fulham have still to re arrange Manure fixture as well.
