The draw has been made for the group stages of the uefa cup and we now know that Pompey will be in the same group - group E - as AC Milan, Heerenveen, Braga and Wolfsburg.

We just have to wait for confirmation of fixtures, which I think is later today and we can plan our European tours!

So, there we go fellas stay tuned for more info...

Well... Heerenveen and Wolfsburg sound like the easier pair from that listing. The visit to San Siro will almost purely be about the glamour. A victory there would be nothing short of a miracle of an icing of the cake.

Wow, how glamerous is that chaps? Do the top 2 go through? You'll love the San Siro, I went when Chelsea made their CL debut a few years back and Wisey scored a famous equaliser, now THAT is what European football is all about! Good luck, hope you win the whole thing (and don't worry about Milan, Kaka's not all that!!!)!

top 3 go through, so 'fingers crossed' we 'should' have enough to advance... still concerned matt as no confirmation on your milan in milan claims :-)

I'm not convinced Matt is correct either Rug.. otherwise we would have known up from that Pot A where to play at home... I'l wait and see although as Lysimachus says Heerenveen and Wolfsburg sound like the easier pair and all we have to do is win the home games to qualify..

The draw for the games does not take place until a little later on. It should be announced about half 12. Good group though and our chance to see Ronaldinhio take on Belhadj.

Look you can apologise later. Pompey are going ti the San Siro to tkae on six times European Champions AC Milan. They have Ronaldinhio, Kaka, Shevshenko & Guattso to name a few, sod the spelling, you know who they are. Braga is not from where we have just from & ironiically they drew 0-0 at Guimaraes on Sunday. Wolfsburg are a good mid table german side & the dutch side Heerenveen stuffed Ajax 5-2 at the weekend, so not at easy as we think. 2 wins should enough to get us through but it's party time in Milan.

we'll see matt ;-) i am getting info that backs you up tho, working on previous seasons and how fixtures panned out - so us in milan would work on that principle... in december tho - that will mean me looking for a new job next year as i will literally have to quit my job to go - they wont give me time off in december!

Match highlights - Pompey 0-1 Orient

Disappointing as it was, you take the rough with the smooth and cannot gloss over things when they aren't so good so here goes with the 1-0 defeat Pompey suffered against Orient.

Simply not good enough!

Call me a moaner, call me a groaner but if you think the performance against Orient was good enough then I think you're wearing blue tinted specs as that was poor from Pompey.
