'Away Goals - Euro Chimes': Extra train!

'Away Goals - Euro Chimes' - what is this?

I have explained what 'Away Goals - Euro Chimes' is in previous articles but for a recap - or to read the information in those other that will help those going to Portugal follow links below.

Part 1, Getting around and to the ground - here.
Part 2, Eating and Drinking - click here.
Part 3, Tips - click here.

We now move onto the next interesting read! Here is some very useful information about an extra train that has been added after the game on Thursday, which is again supplied by Ken. I am not sure if it was sorted out in time to be published in 'Away Goals - Euro Chimes', but it may well have been...

PLAY UP POMPEY!

==========

Extra train after the game!

The authorities have now agreed to extra train services from Porto to Guimaraes AND BACK. Leaving from the Campanha station, the times are -

2OCT08, 18H00, - Oporto/Campanhã to Guimarães
3OCT08, 00H45, - Guimarães to Oporto/Campanhã

I do not yet have prices. Nor do I know if you must get a ticket both ways on this 'special' or if you can just use the 'return' train. As soon as I have more details I will let you know.

Please get this news to as many people as possible.

For those travelling with groups, the new Portsmouth fanzine (Away Goals - Euro Chimes) full of useful info, articles and quizzes, provided by the FSF ('Away Goals - Euro Chimes': Downloadable PDF format) will be available at Rodney road from sometime today, Friday.

So, why should YOU join the FSF?

Whether you realise it or not, the FSF are fighting your corner all of the time.

The debacle that was the Champions' League Final in Athens - the FSF were there and have collected statements and presented a report to UEFA. If we reach the final of this tournament in Turkey we will be better treated there because of the FSF.

Safe standing issues, ticket allocations, prices, kick-off times, the list is endless. We're working on all of them.

There are two Pompey die-hards on the FSF National Council and two more that regularly work on the England Fans' Embassies.

We need YOU in the FSF today. You can sign up on line at www.fsf.org.uk for just £14 a year. Your membership helps us to help you. Your voice counts. Go on, you know it makes sense!

Unfortunately due to work commitments cant make it but hope all that are travelling have a safe and fantastic trip. Get behind the FSF if you can, have always thought they are worthwhile when travelling around watching England.

Are any other Vital members going on the Thomson sport package from Bournemouth?
tracyc
Hey Tracy - I'm going out to Porto but not from Bournemouth...anyone know what bars are gonna be full of Pompey?
Squee
tracy, me and uktony are. See you there, will you have a vital pompey t shirt on? By the way, were doing the thursday morning to friday evening one.
pompey4me
Pompey4me, we're doing the same, thursday morning to friday evening. I still haven't collected my vital Pompey t-shirt, but I'll be wearing my home shirt with Tracy 12 on the back - so easy to spot! This is going to be fun!
tracyc
Aint got a Vital shirt but got 'Squee 22' on the back of my Pompey one. We're going on on Tuesday morning and back Saturday (they were the only flights I could get).
Squee
Squee, hope to see you. Would have liked to have gone a bit earlier but not got much time off work left. It would be great to find a bar that we could make our Pompey bar, but its really hard to do that research - anyone got any ideas?
