Gosport 0 Pompey Academy 8

Just your 'seven' 2nd half goals saw Pompey's academy side romp to an 8-0 victory over Gosport in a friendly at Privett Park last night.

This if the official report from the Pompey Site, read it closely and you will find out something about links we already had to our latest loan recruit Armand Traore...

PLAY UP POMPEY!

==========

GOSPORT 0 POMPEY ACADEMY 8

Pompey Academy brushed aside their Gosport counterparts with a seven-goal second-half whirlwind in a friendly at Privett Park last night.

The youngsters led 1-0 at the break after Jordon Hughes had latched onto Bill Robinson's good save from Mark Smith to fire home.

But there was little to suggest what was to come as a much-changed second-half Blues line-up put Gosport to the sword.

Danny Bogart began the rout immediately after half-time when he swept home the ball after Pompey had cut through the Gosport defence.

It was Bogart that nearly added the third with another lightning run, but his shot was saved by the keeper's feet.

It was just a temporary respite as Nick Watts was on hand to tuck away the third almost immediately after.

Bogart grabbed his second and Pompey's fourth as the blue-shirted players began bypassing the Gosport defence at will.

Clement Traore, related to loan signing Armand Traore, was on hand to hit home the fifth before a trialist made it 6-0.

The ever-industrious Peter Gregory fed the trialist once more to score as Pompey seemed to punish Gosport every time they stepped over the halfway line.

Ellis Martin completed the rout almost on the final whistle as he made one more waltz around a shell-shocked home defence before scoring.

Let's hope that this winning feeling extends to the first team, very soon!

Can we play you every week? Hardly but goals are goals and another Traore??

IMagine us winning a game 8 - 0 in the Premiership. It would be amazing! It does take me back to my school boy days where we used to win and loose by 13 or more goals. ha ha
sneakay
did anybody remind gosport that half time only lasts 15 minutes! how long before we one or two of these names in the 1st team or will they just go out on loan like the rest?
Pompeyrk77
Put me out of my misery, please. Why are triallists so called? Is it because they are potentially that good we don't want anyone to know we've got them? Or something else?
UKTony
I have high hopes for Daniel Bogart, I think he will be a good player in a couple of years
