HR eyes loans/South African on trial/Primus news?
Harry Redknapp is a master of the transfer market and you can be sure that he - and others at the club - is working around the clock to bring in some fresh blood before the transfer window slams firmly closed until January.
With funds tight our only options are free agents and loan dealings, with him telling The News this is what we are most likely to be dealing in: 'we're looking at only loans, really. If I could find someone really good I would get him, but other than that, we're okay.
'We've got a good squad and we've got people coming back fit.'
Hmm, this is where I become confused though?
'Officially' we said the other day that we can only have 2 loans, whereas most people think that we can actually have 4? Redknapp says loans are the way to go, so which is it...
Does anyone know the 'official rules' here?

South African left back Innocent Mdledle has arrived at Pompey on loan according to his club.
The Orland Pirates player was spotted during the international friendly between Australia and South Africa at Loftus Road last week with Redknapp in attendance, and the Pirates chief executive Floyd Mbele says he could join us if he impresses?

And finally, I have voiced my distain at the way we have handled the Linvoy Primus going to Charlton on loan situation - but we now have some sort of update...
Still, officially we are not making no comment but despite official claims from Charlton that they had signed him on a season loan Harry Redknapp is reported as telling The Quay that he has gone on loan, but only until Christmas.
If/when we hear something official - which the fella more than deserves! - then hopefully this will confirm these reports. So if true my thinking is this will actually be a good thing as this would give him the 10-15 games that he wants and see him get 1st team football under his belt, which is better than reserve football.
Come on Pompey, sort it out and let us know what the deal actually is!

The loan rules were clarified on the Quay last week. You can have up to 4 players on loan. Of these, only 2 from other prem clubs (so we have our quota with Sahar and Traore). Also no more than 1 from any one club. As Linvoy is only on loan till Christmas, I think its a great move, he needs some match practice.
